(Forgot to mention in the info page this is in an AU, not the official Bleach universe.)

I got off the plane and walked to the nearest coffee shop. Thankfully, there was one nearby, so I went to it and grabbed a coffee with a scone. I sat and watched the outside, looking at how gorgeous the scenery was in the distance. I then paid for my food and went down the escalator to the front of the airport. And, as Alex said, I saw a sign with my name on it, held up by what seemed like school students or something.

"Welcome to Japan," I told myself. I then threw away my coffee cup into a trash can nearby and walked over to them. Thankfully, I had been taken Japanese lessons at school, so I knew how to talk to them.

A girl with orange hair said, in the best English she could speak, "Welcome to Japan, Lukas!"

I smiled back and said, in Japanese, "Thanks for the warm welcome!" I guess everyone was kinda shocked that I could speak Japanese, but the shock didn't last long. I honestly was just happy to be there. The students introduced themselves, there was Orihime, the orange haired girl who welcomed me, Tatsuki, who stood next to her, Sado, who was like a mountain compared to the other guys with them, Keigo, who was happy I was there with probably an additional 10 pounds of sugar, and there were two other people, who seemed to be talking to each other away from the group.

"Who are they?" I asked Orihime out of sheer curiosity.

"Oh, that's just Ichigo and Rukia!" She said happily. "I wonder what they're talking about."

Meanwhile...

"Eh, you sure this is him? He's kinda too...happy to be a Soul Reaper..." Ichigo asked.

"Positive. Just his spiritual pressure alone gave it away," Rukia answered.

"If you say so..."

Back with Lukas

I sighed as I took in the view from the bus we were on. The distance made me feel at peace and almost reminded me of a postcard I was sent by Alex when he was here a few years ago. I don't exactly remember why he was here, but the postcard was still nice.

After getting registered as a transfer student, it was a little late for me to get in class, since we had 10 minutes left before school let out, so I waited in the hallway and played Pokemon Emerald on my Gameboy. The bell rang and I went outside, then realized I had nowhere to go. Where was I supposed to stay while I'm here for the next month? Did Alex forget about that? I was freaking out internally when I heard someone behind me say something.

"Hey, American kid!" I turned around to face someone who was practically as tall as Sado, or Chad as everyone calls him, only he was a bit shorter. "Hey, I'm talkin' to you!"

"Uh...w-what's up?" I said, confused. "Ya need something?"

"Yeah, need to throw your face to the ground!" He yelled as some of his goons started laughing behind him.

"Really? Look, I really should get going, so-" I started to walk off, but his goons boxed me in.

"Really? 'Cuz from where I'm standin', there's nowhere for you to go!" He swung a fist at me, but I dodged quite easily. I grabbed his arm and backflipped behind him, holding his arm behind his back as he yowled in pain. A goon came after me, but I jumped over him and landed on top of a street lamp.

"Now if you'll excuse me, I've got 99 problems to take care of and you aren't one of them!" I jumped down and ran, smiling as they yelled behind me. I looked at them for a brief second and then bumped into somebody, making me fall to the ground.
