Luckily Jake didn't see me last night, thank the lord! I just woke up and am so tired.
Oh shit! 35 minutes late for school! "uggghhhh" I groan aloud. I scramble to put on my uniform and rush into Dad's room as I'm putting on my tie.
"Dad!" a few seconds later "DAD WAKE UP!" I scream. "I'm late"
"Huh?" mumbles the poor tired soul.
Running down the stairs I clip my hair into another messy bun. I shove on my uniform and my zip-up hoodie on top and slip into some black ankle socks with black trainers.
"Ugh," I silently groan to myself while rushing to do my teeth and grabbing a bag of crisps to go for breakfast.
"Hey, shouldn't you be in school?" my brother Dan asks me while walking in the kitchen.
"I'm late, overslept" He chuckles. "Bye dad" I yell as he is thudding halfway down the stairs. running to the gates I finally, I get into the building and I've missed form time. The hallways are empty because everyone is in their lessons. Which mine would be maths. I start walking in the direction of my class. I look through the window, Emma is sitting there. I wave at her and give her a signal as if to say "help me out. "Hey, Mr. Michaels is that right she says to our teacher. He turns back around from the class to look at the screen giving me a chance to sneak in. "Yes, it is Miss Mills. Also Miss Jones..." he says without turning around curiosity within his voice. "Yes," I reply so innocently. "At least tell me why you are late?" he chuckles. "I overslept sir," I say back to him. "Very well," he says, turning back around with a small grin.
I hate maths, but Mr. Michaels is one of the best teachers in the school, he is a really nice person to talk to, he is practically a teenager himself loving to joke about and have a laugh with us he was only pretending to be serious because there are some support teachers in today. He's only 20 years old! With honey blonde hair and hazel eyes. When he first came to this school all the girls were crushing on him! Well, all except me. I consider him as just a friendly teacher.
Today in maths we aren't really doing much, only making a mindmap of what we need to remember for the mock exam. I'm in the lowest setting. So it's just the basics like fractions, bus stops, BIDMAS, and BODMAS. As well as different techniques and sums that we can use to help us with our multiplication and division.
The bell finally goes for break time. I meet up with Emma at her desk and we walk out into the jam-packed hall together like after every math lesson we usually do. "Hi," I say.
"Hey" "Oh did you hear?"
"Hear what?"
"About the new kid. He's in our form, he is sooooo' cute!" she rambles with a sigh of admiration for this new boy.
"Oh no I haven't"
"Well his name's Jackson" she smiles heavenly. "Oh nice" I respond obliviously to what she actually said his name is.
We talk about the weekend and bond over how both of us did no homework whatsoever and how we have been addicted to The Vampire Diaries. We walk onto the yard past the canteen, I'm so hungry! So she just gets a chocolate Yorkie and some jam butties for us We go past the flower beds and onto the field, giggling over how much we like Harry Styles and Larry Tomlinson.
I suddenly freeze, my eyes widening. In the middle of the field, the center of attention is the beautiful guy I have ever seen before in my life. A brunette lad with marine blue eyes is running with a football ball tucked under his arm.
"Oh, that's the new lad over there," Emma points out. "Oh" I blurt out, still gazing at his baby face. I feel like I'm in some kind of trance. "Um, what's his name again?" I ask her. "Jackson Prince" she replies. "Oh well he certainly looks like a prince charming" I breathe.
"Oi, you! Romeo" Emma shouts to him and quickly turns us around pretending it wasn't us. "What the fuc..." "fudge" she finishes for me. "Emma! Seriously!" I scowl at her with a hint of humor. "Yeah" she splutters, holding back her laughter. A smile breaks through my redded face. "Fudging idiot," I remark. We break into a bundle of giggles and turn to look back at Jack. then something dark blocks my view, forcing me to tear my eyes away.
"Hey sis," Jake's tall frame says to Emma but his face is focused on mine. "Oh hi, brainless" she chirps up at him. She doesn't really get on with him, either because he teases her too sometimes. Great, could life really get any worse? I swear he is everywhere. There must be two of him or something! I've never told Emma that he used to bully me and will never. my face reddens and he just stares into my eyes. As if he's looking deep into my soul. I shift my feet nervously. And then that's when Emma gives him a weird look making him turn away and grin at her. "So Hanna..." he begins but then he gets cut off by his life-saving sister. "bye brainless" she then smirks interrupting him and turns on her heels. As we then walk away from him I can feel his dark golden eyes burning daggers into my back.
God, I hate him. That's why I hardly ever go to Emma's house because he is there if I do, and he never leaves. It's like he's monitoring us or something and he's so annoying!
So we mainly hang at the park, school, the cinema or mine. That's the thing about us, we have the same type of drama so we are like the same people, that's why we get along. Also, we can talk about anything for hours and we are both trustworthy of each other so we tell each other lots of things that nobody else really knows.
