Chapter One: A New Beginning

Peyton's POV

Finally first day of high school I rolled over to check my phone and I had ten missed calls from Delya and Tay each. "Omg please don't let me be late on the first day" I whispered to myself and looked at the clock. It was just 5:30 which gave me plenty of time to get dressed and even go to Starbucks before the twins picked me up. I jumped out the bed and hopped in the shower only to be rudely disturbed by 3 lil kids banging on my bathroom door. "Sissy! Come on get out its 5:45 and we have to go to school" said Mason. "Alright, alright" I exclaimed getting out almost forgetting about them. Mason was 11 so it was his first day of middle school which was Albany Middle and he wasn't too excited about it but my lil bro needs to get his education you know! He's gonna be playing football to so it shouldn't be that hard to make friends. Jeremey's 4 but we got him into a program that gets him into kindergarten at a younger age. On the Brightside he's really excited which is a plus. Last but not least is Lannie she's two, the same age as Hope. My mom and the twins' mom were both in the hospital at the same time but my mom got sent to an insane asylum and you know what happened to them. "Mason since you're the second oldest you need to help Jeremy get dressed and get on the bus! I'm taking lannie to Ms. Kay's when I leave." "Alright sis" he said really nonchalant. I go to get Lannie dressed then bring her in my room. "Peyton... When is mommy coming back?" she asked in her sweet baby voice. I looked over at her walking away from my closet to pick her up "We'll never know, she's really sick right now ok babygirl." She climbed back on the bed and just fell asleep but it hurt me a little... I went back to the closet and put on a pair of high waisted jeans, a white crop top with a teal undone button up and teal converse. I didn't know what to do with my hair so I just threw it up in a real cute curly bun. I went to check on Mason and Jeremy and they were good, it was also 6:15. I decided to call the twins and they pulled up real quick. "Wassup Peyton! You ready for your first day youngin?" they joked. I giggled and smiled only to look up and see Tay hitting me with this unusual smile, staring me up and down. Delya was holding lannie. Lya really loved little kids. She's always been quick to swoop them up and take care of them! We pulled up to their house and I walked in and gave Ms. Kay a hug. "Hey Baby! How yah doing?" "I'm good Mama Kay, just the usual" I responded with a sigh, "Yeah baby I understand, now where's my babygirl lannie!" Delya walked in with her in her arms sleep "Gma imma put her in the room with Hope and were gonna bounce" she said walking to hopes room. Me and Tay looked at each other and she signaled me to go up to her room "Gmama We be right back iight" she said in that lil sexy ass accent she had. "So what's up tay?" I asked curious. "Lol nothing I just wanted to say..." she got rudely interrupted by Delya screaming that we need to go. Man I hope this first day goes good.. I'm real scared now. Who knows what could happen.
