Chapter Two: A Taste of My Own

Talia's POV

I was so damn close to coming out to Peyton! I mean I know we had to leave but all I needed was a few minutes! Delya is always killing my plans fam. We pulled up to the school and everyone knew it was us plus one. We jumped out the Jaguar and made our way to the gym for that whole New Year, new school bullshit. I looked over and there was some new girl that kept looking me up and down but I had seen her before I just aint know where. She was real cute. She had hazel eyes and light brown curly hair that was to die for. Only thing was is she was a stud and my type was more fem. All I heard was blah blah blah and I was focused on who she was and why she was looking at me like that. "Ms. Cruise would you like to explain why you're not paying attention to our back to school presentation?" Mrs. Devoe our principal said. I looked up and smirked making my way down the bleacher steps. I was known as the jokester and smartass. The school knew I liked to put on a show. "Well if it aint my fave" I said grabbing the mic "Good Morning students of Albany High! Lemme hear you make some noise" the crowd went wild. "Alright imma keep it short but since we calling people out, I wanna see ole girl with the hazel eyes with the curly hair right here!" I exclaimed in the mic. Mrs. Devoe looked over to me questioning me with her eyes. The kids looked around and awed. "So you wanna explain why you was starring so hard?" I asked. "Lol no reason..." she pulled me away and turned off the mic, she continued "well I was admiring your beauty but you look like a light skinned version of this girl I used to date". "Um what's your name?" I asked and she grabbed my hand. "Darien", I looked up and pulled away from her. I walked back into the gym and sat next to Delya until we got released. "Talia what was that all about why did you call her out! You know that's my ex!!". "Uh I do now, she looked different I aint know but as soon as she said her name I remembered. That's what I was trying to tell you just listen!". "Tay I'm going to class I'll see you second period". "Man whatever" I rolled my eyes and looked down at my schedule me and Peyton had our homeroom and 1st period together. "Let's go fam!" I walked down the hall to Ms. Robinson's class and took the seat right next to Peyton. "Good morning Class I am your homeroom teacher for the next 10 minutes and I also teach advanced English 2. I'm real relaxed so since we have extra time spend it getting to know each other." "Peyton she's real cool you know, But I still have something to talk to you about you know since we were interrupted!" "What is it?" she asked in her spunky tone. "Ok I know you aint gonna judge me but you're the first person I'm coming out too... It's a long story and I've been this way forever" "Omg Tay shut up I knew you was I was just waiting on the day you was gonna come out it just takes time". I looked at her and smiled I could tell it drove her crazy cause she blushed now the next step. Today might not be as bad as I thought.
