Family?

After I arrived at home I just sat back watching Netflix while wondering about that vampire Jasper, He seriously intrigued me.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone,

I looked at tue display waiting for the caller ID,
It read 'Father' with a picture of a handsome man who appeared in his twenties.

I quickly answered the call,

"Dad? What's up?" I asked,

"Hey sorry I couldn't call you sooner kid, It seems you managed to shift, in a night... I'm beyond proud! I'm so happy! Ah! I'll be home tomorrow and I'll explain everything! Don't worry about anything, its all natural, if anything happens call me immediately no matter how small!" Dad said without pausing,

"Dad... breath, I'm fine, and you've already prepared me for if I do, and the transition didn't take a night it took an evening," I said smiling at his excitement.

"... an evening? That's Divine tier! I knew my son would be amazing! You are my kid after all!" Dad said laughing heartily.

"If only your mother was here to see it..."

"She may not be here in person... but she's always watching over us." I said a stray tear falling down my cheek.

She may not have been my first mother, but she was my mother, and I had all the memories of my interaction with her, how she would comb my hair with her hand as she sung me to sleep, how she would hug me and tell me everything would be okay, and so much more.

"That she is wes, that she is." Dad said,

"I'm proud to be your father West, I really am. Unfortunate duty calls, I gotta get back to work, I love you brat, Goodbye I'll see you tomorrow." He said,

"Thanks Dad, I love you to... I'll see you soon." I said,

I closed the call and tossed my phone to the couch, and looked around, for the first time the house felt... lonely.

My mind drifted back to Jasper, I wanted to know more about him... He had sparked something within me, and It had obviously caught fire.

I stood up, I need to see him.

I threw some clothes on and made sure I look pretty enough, I nodded to my mirror and ran out the front door.

I jumped into the air and shifted, I activated the perception block and took through the skies.

A storm was coming and it had been raining for a while now, it was kind of thrilling to fly through a storm.

I quickly started tracking Jasper, it wasn't hard his scent was heavenly and strong drawing a clear path to him.

It took a moment before I found a nice modern home that was technically my neighbor... around 2 or more miles away from my place.

I shifted back again forgetting how high I was, I fell to the ground hard but used my control over space to gently float me to the houses front steps.

I didn't even get to ring the doorbell before Jasper opened it, I felt the presence of the rest of the clan in the house.

"Sorry to Intrude, but I was anxious to see you again... do you mind if I come in?" I asked,

"Of course not." Jasper said with his hot af southern accent...

I walked in and my arm brushed against him on my way in, I froze, it was single handedly the most pleasant sensations of my life.

When I snapped out of it I noticed my hand had reached into his without me even knowing...

"I'm sorry!" I said trying to pull away, but he didn't let me, obviously if I had put actual strength he would be no match but I didn't actually want to let go soo...

"Its fine, I quite like it actually," Jasper said,

I flushed quite visibly at his words,

"Okay then," I whimpered,

God what was this man doing to me.

We soon found ourselves in his room sitting and listening to music, I began to tell him my story, not my Transmigration though...

He listened patiently only occasionally asking questions, squeezing my hand occasionally showing support when I spoke about mother.

When I got the I'm a Dragon Shifter part, his eyes widened and he seemed fascinated.

I had sound proofed the room before we even started talking so we didn't have any prying ears.
