Time With Bella

 "I feel like a big weather balloon." I wained to Emmett.

 All he did was laugh as I laid on Carlisle hospital bed in his office. We were going try to see the baby, Carlisle came in and grabbed ultrasound machine; as he put jell on my tummy, which was cold!

 "Alright lets see if we can have a look at the little guy," Carlisle said rubbing the thingy on around my tummy, but there was no baby just black I was starting to get worried. "Well haven't known what to expect from the beginning. This doesn't mean anything Caleb so do not worry, but..."

 I didn't like were the tone he had which meant there was something bad coming. 

 "Caleb we don't know how the birth may go. We never even knew this was possible, what I'm saying Caleb is there is a big chance were you may die." 

 "But that's when you turn me, I...I it wont come to that I'm not gonna die."

 "Caleb we don't know that, there is a good chance were you will lose to much blood and not make it even if we change you." Carlisle finished and walked out the room leaving me and Emmett; who was not even looking at me.

 I couldn't believe what I was hearing, they thought I wasn't strong enough to survive the birth of my baby. "Emmett you know I will survive this right?"

 "Honestly Caleb I don't know. If us having this baby means you might die..."

 "Don't you even dare finish that sentence Emmett. I can't even believe you try to say something like that. Emmett I know we never thought this could happen but know that it has I'm not giving it up for the world. I want this and I know you want it too, and I will survive this and we will be a family." I said getting angry.

 "Your right I'm sorry, I know you will survive this. You just have to see it in my point of view babe, I'm scared of losing you I don't know what I would do with out you." He said, I could hear the sadness in his voice.

 "I do baby and I don't know what I would do with out you either."

 I got of the hospital bed and hobbled my way over to Emmett, I wrapped my arms around him from behind and kissed his back. Emmett got out of my arms and turned around wrapping me in his arms, I looked up at his face to see his eyes were dark.

 "Emmett you need to feed."

 "I'm fine."

 "No your not Emmett, did you get to eat before the hole Victoria thing?"

 "No, I was about to but then you called."

 Now I felt guilty it was because of me that Emmett hasn't been getting a good meal. "So it's because of me you haven't had a meal. Emmett please for me go get a meal."

 "Babe it's not your fault and I'm not leaving you."

 "Emmett I will be fine just make it a guy thing or something, and I'll have Alice or who ever stays here with me."

 "Ok for you I'll see who wants to go." Emmett said leaving with a smile knowing I won this battle. I leaned up and kissed his lips.

 We walked out of Carlisle's office as I went to the living room to find Alice, Edward and Bella. I sat with Alice. "So slumber party tonight, Bella would you like to join." Alice said knowing what I was going to ask.

 "Sure I guess." Bella said.

 "Good cause I am taking Emmett up on the hunt trip and this means you wont go near Jake tell I'm back." Edward said, Bella got an annoyed look on her face.

 "Who's Jake?" I asked

 "Long story," Alice whispered. "Story can be told tonight."

 I nodded and headed upstairs to Emmett and I's room and walked into our closet to change into pajamas when I saw Emmett standing there.

 "You ok?" I asked making him turn around.

 "Yeah I'm fine just thinging of how lucky I am." He said with a big grin on his face.

 Emmett helped me change into my pj's and he put one of his sweaters on me, giving me that sexy grin of his after it was on making me laugh. I think the baby could tell what was happening and started kicking.

 "Ouch, Emmett give me your hand." I grabbed his hand a put it on my tummy so he could feel are baby kicking.

 Emmett leaned down and pulled his sweater up now facing my tummy. "He you take it easy on your mommy ok." He told my tummy which was meant for are little baby.

 Every time he would talk to the baby it would make me giggle and think of how lucky I was to have Emmett be mine. "Ok baby daddy time for you to go and feed." I said in a playful stern voice.

 "Yes baby mommy." He said getting up and kissing me one last time before we walked downstairs to the others.

 Emmett, Rose, Edward, and Jasper left to go hunt, leaving Alice, Esme, Bella and I at home while Carlisle was at the hospital working.

 "Alright Bella, Caleb your dinner is ready." Esme told us.

 "Thank you Esme." Bella and I said in unison. 

 While Bella and I were eating she told me about her friend Jake and his wolf pack. I could see why Edward didn't want Bella around them and I didn't blame him.

 "But he knows Jake wont hurt me." Bella said.

 "Bella you have to try to see it in Edward's view. To Edward they are dangerous, I know to you it doesn't seem that way to you Bella. But you can't stop how things are for him trust me I know how you feel I do. I was that way with Emmett. At first Emmett didn't want me to be a vampire because of being a 'monster' and never having kids etc...So we didn't talk about it I put myself in his place, I didn't fight him on it. Then after a little time we started to talk about and how we couldn't live without each other so he said he would turn me."

 "But your still human?" 

 "We agreed that I get a little older first I was sixteen at the time, he was gonna turn after we got married but well then Landon came along, Bella you just have to give Edward time. Edward as you know is old fashion, he doesn't want to turn you because he doesn't want you to be a 'monster' and not have a 'soul'." I said giving the words air quotes. 

 "I know every ones story, I know about Italy. Edward will do anything for you Bella, you just have to trust me and him one day he will turn you, you just have to give it time."

 Bella nodded finishing her food. Alice came into the room giving me a light squeeze and taking my plate for me, I went into the living room and waited for Alice and Bella so we could watch a movie. After fighting over movies we finally agreed on Rock Of Ages which was funny as hell!

 The baby started kicking again and told the girls to come feel, we all laughed and talked about the names Emmett and I chose, they helped me pick middle names and we came up with Landon Damon McCarty Cullen and Piper Nova McCarty Cullen. I told the girls that I knew it was gonna be a boy that will be just like his daddy and they laughed I also told Alice that we decided to to let her and Jasper be the godparents to the baby.

 It was starting to get late and I told the girls that I think I should be getting to bed, Alice and Esme were already planning a shopping trip for baby stuff and that had me a little frightened. I laid in the bed rubbing my tummy tell I started drifting off, and while I was drifting I felt the bed move and arms wrap around with someone whispering they loved me. Knowing it was Emmett I whispered the same back and then fell asleep.
