Chapter Two: ~What Is This?~

"Dad. are we here yet?"

Dad stopped the car. And he talked to mom.

"I think where here Pam!"
"We are ? what do you mean THINK we're here?"
" Honey, look, we just need somewhere safe to go."
"I know what this is. Unlike the girls. But, we're either safe, or we aren't!"
"I don't want to put them in danger either! But hun, no where is safe anymore."
"Maybe we should let them know."
"Like what this is?"
"Yea."
"Alright."

We had stopped at a local 7/11.

"Daddy? why are we stoppin'?"
"We're crashin' here for tonight."
"Why aren't we sleeping at our own house? We can't just sleep at a 7/11!"
"Oh yes we can!"
"Dad! Are you crazy?"
"You are in no right, to say that young lady!"

Mom stepped in to the conversation.

"Bryant!"
"What!"
"She don't know what's goin' on! I barely do!"
"Hun, I know, but do you really think we should tell her?"
"She's gonna find out sooner than later!"
"You're right. We gotta let em' know."

I'm so scared. Joyce is crying. and I just don't know what's happenin'.

"Stop! Both of ya'. Someone tell me what is happenin' right now, or so help me!"
"Hana!"
"What mom? Joyce is scared. and so am i!"

There was a long pause. All you could hear was Joyce's crying. Dad finally said something.

"I'll get to what this mess is in a second. Everyone just relax and follow me!"

We all slowly got out of the car. Mom went around the front of the car to meet dad on the other side, since she was in the passenger seat. Joyce and I were in the back. Although we were terrified to get out, we followed dad as he said to do. Joyce was holding my hand, Scared to enter the dark 7/11. Dad opened the glass door. And some auto lights flickered on. Joyce jumped in fright. And honestly so did I. Dad led us in to the shop. It was kind of unusual for doors to just be unlocked like that. But hey, I guess there's a first thing for everything. It looked like whoever was here, must have left in a hurry. Can's from the shelves were scattered everywhere. Water's and liquids where completely gone. There was only a couple of medicines left. This place was a dump. What had happened here? What Is This?
