We snuck out the back door. Hoping not to see any biters. We walked close to the building to get to the clothing store. It was only right next door so it was easy to get to.

"Hana?"
"What."
"You doin' alright."
"Yep."

We got to the door. It was unlocked.

"Another unlocked door."
"What was that Hana?"
"Nothin' sorry."

We went inside.

"Hurry up and grab what ya need."
"Okay."
"Dad?"
"What?"
"You comin'?"
"Oh, yeah sorry."

He was standing at the door. He walked inside.

"Do you-a need any cloths dad?"
"No. I should be fine in my lab coat."
"You sure?"
"Um. You know what I'll take a look around. You still got your gun on ya?"
"Yeah. Why?"

He took a little while to answer even though he heard me. Mean while I was rummaging through cloths.

"Just in case. Your gonna need to hang on to that thing."

I went ahead and changed into some cloths that I had found. It was a plaid green flannel top, with regular skinny jeans. Which was perfect seeing sense it was summer. I would have gotten shorts but, I didn't want biter blood on my bare legs. I found cloths for mom and Joyce too, but threw those in the backpack that mom had insisted I should take. It looked like dad had found some cloths too, because he had on something different when I had seen him next.

"Hang on."
"What daddy?"
"I think I hear somethin'!"
"What is it?"
"I don't know. It sure is coming from right outside though."
"Are we gonna see what it is?"
"Um. Yea let me just take a peek."

Dad opened the back door just a peek. A biters stuck its arm through the crack.
Dad tried to shut the biters arm in the door. But it wouldn't shut.

"Oh no!"
"Dad!"
"There must be like 6 or 7 out there!"
"What do we do?"
"Do you see any other way out-a here!?"

I looked around. There were more biters at the main entrance.

"The main entrance isn't an option."
"More biters there?"
"Yep."

I looked around some more.

"Dad!"
"What?"

He was still struggling to keep the door shut.

"I found some stairs."
"Those will work."
"How will we get to mom and Joyce from there?"
"We'll figure it out then. It's our only option right now!"
"Alright c'mon daddy! We can out run em'!"
"Head to the stairs Hana! Ill be right behind you!"

I ran to the bottom of the steps. Dad ran as fast as he could, to the steps. The biters charged in after us. Dad and I raced up the stairs as fast as we could. Dad was in front of me. The biters were just a little while behind us. I tripped.

"Daddy!"
"Hana?"
"Help!"

Dad helped me up fast. The biters still a while back. We were lucky they weren't any faster than they are. We finally got to the roof. It seemed like it took forever to get there. But we made it. Dad held the roof door and pushed it shut tight.

"Hana there's a chain over there! Get it for me would ya?"
"Sure dad."

I ran to get the chain, on the other side of the roof. And handed it to dad. He tied the door to a broken pole hanging on the wall.

"That should hold em'."
"How do we get to mom and Joyce?"

We both sat down on the roof. It was flat so that was good.

"Um.. honey. I honestly don't know right now."
"We'll get to them don't worry dad."
"How are you so brave?"
"Haha! I don't know."
"Your right we'll get to them."
