Jungkook grabbed his sleek black phone and dialed the first number in his call log. He waited for a few moments for the call to be answered and his features softened immediately as he heard the sound he loved the most in the most.

"Jungkook?"

Jungkook smiled warmly at his wife's excited voice. "Yeah, baby, how are you?"

"I'm fine," Taehyung answered and Jungkook could hear the smile in his voice. 

"How about you? When you are coming home?"

"An emergency surgery came up," Jungkook replied. "I will be late. Don't wait me for dinner."

"Oh..." Taehyung was disappointed but tried to hide it quickly. 

"It's fine. Good luck, I hope your patient will be okay."

"Thank you, love," Jungkook breathed. "How are the children?"

"They are playing with the new doctor toys you got for them," Taehyung said with his smiling voice.

"Practice makes it perfect," Jungkook said proudly.

His wife giggled at the end of the line, warming Jungkook's heart. "How can you be so sure they will want to be doctors when they grow up?"

"It's an Jeon tradition," Jungkook answered, checking the clock at his desk where the photo frame of his beautiful family stood by. "Love, I have to go."

"Okay," Taehyung replied. "Good luck again and I love you."

"Thank you," Jungkook smiled. "Love you, too."

He switched off his phone and walked out of the room.

The hospital staff and even the patients watched him as he passed by. Jungkook Jeon constantly was the center of attention and the hospital gossips.

He came from the Jeon family, which was famous for their world renowned doctors. The whole family was doctors since the ancient times. To top it all, each member of the family had similar, fine features that let people recognize them easily.

It was a well known fact that Jungkook was married, his ring was there to be seen by all but the number of people who had seen his spouse was really limited.

Jungkook had his family go to their family owned clinics and he didn't like people seeing them so the only person who had seen his family was his secretary Hye rin via the frame on his desk. And even then, it was hard to see his wife because the focus was on his two children.

There was a rumor about this also. Some said that Jungkook's wife was so beautiful that he was extremely jealous over him, that's why he didn't let people see him. Some others said that he was way too ugly that Jungkook didn't want to be seen with him in public.

Jungkook himself only rolled his eyes at the rumors and told them to mind their business harshly.

Jungkook entered the operating room and nodded at the responsible nurse. She nodded back and helped him to wash and sterilize his hands before the operation.

Jungkook was a cardiologist and he wanted to be the best. He was one of the best, his mother being the top one, so he set his goals high and waited for the day to get past her success.

Jin was happy about it. Their little competition drove his son to get better and he was sure that Jungkook would take her throne soon.

As he entered the operation room, Jungkook blocked out the rest of the world and only focused on curing the heart in his hands.
