The Lost (Hiatus)

I sorted the books in the library from A to Z just like every day before this. During this I had to pull up my pants a few times due to how big on me they were. I could feel the wardens burning holes into the back of my head with their stares, but I ignored it waiting for my time here to be done. As I reached the letter 'L' I heard the door creak open and then slam shut. I froze for a second when I heard the familiar tap of heels.

I kept my face pointing towards the bookshelves not daring to turn around. My eyes widened when I realised that I had forgotten my fire proof gloves. But I carried on with my daily task. "How's my favourite experiment today?" I heard a shrill voice ask from behind me. But I stayed silent not trusting my voice after the many years of little conversation. I heard the heel taps again but this time they came towards me. "I asked you a question" that same shrill voice said.
"I...I...I'm okay" I said stuttering a little. After I spoke I heard multiple taunting laughs from behind me. But the most recognisable laugh had to be the one that belonged to the lady with the shrill voice. This lady was the one who ruined the lives of many people just like me who lived within the walls of the hospital. This lady is the one that we called Doctor Harm.

Doctor Harm was a heartless woman who walked around the hospital with a smile. She didn't care who you were all she wanted was to use you for her dark and painful experiments. She always wore a pencil dress of some bright colour, which always contrasted with the white and grey walls of the hospital. She also wore a white lab coat which had faded to a pale grey colour with time. And finally to finish this ensemble she wore pointy glasses and black dagger-like heels. She also adorned golden blonde hair and sky blue eyes.

"And where are your gloves?" The doctor asked with the ghost of a smirk branding her features.
"I....um...left them in my room" I said after a few seconds of complete silence. I glanced to my side to see Doctor Harm glaring at me. The sky blue eyes that she adorned turned into angry grey storms. I then felt two wardens grab me by my arms roughly. They turned me to face the angry doctor. I didn't fight back, I didn't dare the last time I did I gained a scar on my abdomen. In a split second there was a burning pain on my right cheek. Doctor Harm had slapped me. I made no noise but I looked at the doctor to see her dusting off her hands. "Remember your gloves you stupid girl" Doctor Harm sneered before she waved at the wardens to let me go. All I did was nod and the doctor turned on her heels and left. A few wardens trailed behind her as a sort of entourage. I then carried on my daily task.

And there we have it a second chapter and the cruel Doctor Harm has been introduced
