Thorn had a way with words... There was no doubt about that. It was as though Y/N just couldn't say no to him. With his perfect muscular body, and thick locks of dark raven hair. Let's just say there wasn't a lot about him not to love. All the girls of the camp had eyes for him but after he somewhat claimed Y/N they stopped. He liked their leader the best and everyone knew it... Except, her.

"Thanks for saving water with me," He mumbled through a smirk wrapping her in a towel. "I had fun,"

"Me too," Y/N blushed never meeting his eyes, she had only said yes because apocalyptic life could get quite boring. And she hadn't really had many boyfriends growing up so she really didn't have anything to lose. Thorn actually showed an interest in her and though most of the time she tried to stay oblivious to it... She realized what she had been missing out on. "Maybe we should do it again sometime,"

"Wow, I never thought this day would come," The raven-haired man gushed staring down at her. "The day that you finally noticed me,"

"I noticed you..." She tried to reason never meeting his eyes through a laugh. "I guess I was just being stupid,"

"If you're so stupid then will you go on a date with me?"

"When?" She questioned confused.

"Right now... Get dressed and meet me in the field!" He exclaimed rushing out of her cabin in only a towel, they were lucky it was dark out that night that was for sure.

"So this is why you made me come all the way out here," She sighed taking a seat next to him. "To watch a fucking movie how cheesy,"

"Oh but you're going to love it," He reassured through a grin fiddling with the projector before one of her favorite movies began to play.

"How did you know that this was my favorite? Did Y/B/F tell you?" She threatened as he handed her a bowl of popcorn.

"Let's just say I do my research... Like knowing that popcorn is one of your favorite foods,"

"Damn," She laughed lightly punching his shoulder. "And all I had to do was say yes," And that's when his face flushed pink and the movie began with its opening scene.

That was one of the best night the both of them had ended up having in awhile. And although they fell asleep halfway through the movie it was worth it. Y/N still had questions running through her mind that couldn't be anwsered. Because even though it was a great day she still didn't know how in the hell she dreamt about Jack. Although she wanted nothing more than to dream about Thorn Jack was always just... There.

When Y/N woke up it was to the bright light of the sun, though there were a few trees around the bright light was still able to poke its way through. It was perfect here with the soft breeze and warm arms wrapped around her tightly. The raven-haired man toppling over her snored softly, both of their faces hidden in one another's necks.

It was perfect, Y/N couldn't deny it. Though she wanted so badly to say no last night she simply couldn't bring herself to do so. He had been trying so hard and she simply had trouble finally letting go of the past... She was terrified that something bad would happen and then she would be left broken.

But that morning while she was in the shower and Y/B/F was doing her makeup in the mirror, they had a talk. And Y/B/F had told her to be happy while she still could so Y/N took her words and here she was. More content with her life then she had ever been in a long time.

Sure being a leader was something... Becoming one was even harder. But people looked up to her and she wasn't about to let them down. Though she loved leading and wanting to lead to have the best life possible for everyone it was exhausting.

Y/B/F was right... Y/N Y/L/N needed more to live for, and maybe this was just that. Maybe Thorn was just that.

"RISE AND SHINE LOVEBIRDS!" Y/B/F exclaimed well more like screamed.

"Oh no the devil has arrived!" Thorn exclaimed burring his head back into Y/N's neck. "Five more minutes," This earned a hit from not only Y/B/F, and Y/N but Y/S/N who had also come along.

"MEANIE!" Y/S/N exclaimed wacking him across the shoulder.

"Yeah, you tell him, girl!" Y/B/F exclaimed high-fiving the young girl. "That's what I'm talking about,"

"How did you know we'd be here?" Y/N questioned through a sigh pulling Y/S/N into her arms. After their parents died Y/N knew that she had to protect her sister... This being partially the reason why Y/N had tried so hard to become the leader of a place like this.

"Duh, I'm the one who influenced him to do this... Gosh," Y/B/F sighed through a hair flip. "Like who do you think I am?"

Y/N tackled Y/B/F in a hug. "Thank you so much!" She exclaimed through a grin. "I actually forgot about the apocalypse for once,"

"Yeah I know I can tell," Her best friend laughed through a grin. "You deserve it,"

"What about me?" Thorn questioned through a groan. "Don't I at least deserve to sleep in?" Suddenly Y/S/N was on his back pulling at his hair causing him to groan out in pain.

"That's her way of telling you to get up... I should know," Y/N giggled.

"Thorns be lazy," She giggled as Y/N lifted her sister into her arms.

"Yeah very, but hey this means that if we go eat breakfast now there'll be more for us!" Y/N exclaimed jumping up and dashing toward the hall with Y/B/F by her side.

"Fuck you!" They heard from behind them but they kept on running through giggles.

And although Y/N tried her best to raise Y/S/N there still was a little cussing here and there... Mostly due to the fact that she wasn't perfect in that aspect. I mean come on she's a fucking apocalypse camp leader.

"Y/N! Y/N!" Kylie exclaimed coming into view once they entered the hall. "Jesus everyone has been looking everywhere for you we thought you were killed or something!" He panted out of breath hands on his knees as he tried to catch up with himself.

"Thanks for being worried everyone but I'm fine," Y/N reassured through a smile though the frightened look on everyone's face told her otherwise.

"Ruby and Jack are both missing and-" But before he could finish y/N was already leaving the hall and going toward the gun cabin only to be stopped by Kylie placing a hand on her shoulder. "Wait that's not all,"

"What-"

"Your old car by the creek was found covered in blood," And that's when everyone's eyes widened in fear.

Things were about to change.
