It has been a few months since Y/N, Sabito, and Giyuu started training. This was by the time they were learning their water breathing. But Y/N just couldn't seem to do it.

"Y/N, wake up, we are about to train!" Sabito yelled as he shook Y/N rapidly.

"Ugh... Sabi--" Y/N started, but then she realized how close sabito really was,

"ACK!!"

Suddenly realizing how close he was as well he jumped off of you and blushed like crazy, "i-it's time to train Y/N, get ready." Sabito hurried out the door.

Y/N just sat on her futon but wondering what happened. She just got more confused about what just happened.

~~~With Sabito~~~

Sabito quickly walks out the door and closes it.

"God. I am such an idiot. Why was I that close anyway?" Sabito thought to himself.

~~~Back to Y/N~~

Y/N finally gets out of bed and dresses for the day. For a while now she has been working on her own breathing technique because water breathing was just too strong for her to manage.

She opens her door to see Sabito standing right in front of her.

"M-morning... Sabito" Y/N blushed, looking down.

"I am sorry Y/N I REALLY didn't mean--" Sabito said. But before he could finish what he was saying Y/N held Sabito in a tight embrace. From the sudden movement, both Sabito and Y/N blushed.

Y/N liked Sabito for some time now, so she thought now was the time.

"Sabito... A few months ago you promised to protect me... But I want to be the one that protects you." Y/N said.

"Y/N? What are you trying to say?" Sabito asked loosening into the hug and finally returns the embrace.

Y/N starts thinking about what she is going to say. She just can't find the words.

"Hey... Y/N we should get to training. Can you tell me later?" Sabito said awkwardly.

"Uhhh... Yeah..it wasn't important anyway." Y/N said face-palming herself mentally.

Sabito and Y/N walk outside and start training.

"Y/N. You still can't do a single water-breathing form. I am starting to think you just can't do it." Urokodaki said.

"S..sorry sensei..." Y/N huffed out still trying to catch her breath.

Urokodaki sighs and walks to Giyu, leaving Y/N by herself.

No. I am not going to give up just yet. I won't. If water breathing is so hard for me I... I will just make my own!!

With a new determination, Y/N starts to train non-stop. She would get home later than Giyu and Sabito. She usually came back out of it.

One night Sabito decided to follow her on what she was doing so late at night. What he saw was extraordinary. It was Y/N using a breathing technique, but now water breathing like he and Giyu were learning. She was making her own.

"Breath of the Twisted Current, First form: Suspended Stream"

It was the first time Y/N actually did her own first form. So she was super happy. She then noticed Sabito standing there completely amazed.

"ACK!! H-hey Sabito. I was just about to go inside!" Y/N said.

"Y/N... Did you make your own breathing technique?" Sabito asked.

"Yeah. Water breathing was too hard but I understood it so I made a branch of wat--" Y/N got distracted from the smile Sabito gave off.

"I am happy you found something Y/N. It must've been hard. When we become demon slayers. Let's not let it go to waste."

"Yeah! Now I actually have confidence in my abilities as someone training to become a demon slayer."

Sabito walks over to Y/N and grabs her hand.

"Should we get going Y/N. Dinner is ready."

Y/N simply smiled and nodded her head. Sabito and Y/N walked together back to the house and had dinner.

"Hey Y/N." Giyu caught up to Y/N right before she went into her room to head to sleep.

"Oh, Giyu! This is different. Is there anything you need?" Y/N asked

Though Giyu and Y/N had a sibling-like relationship, they hardly talked. So Giyu having something to say to Y/N this late at night was weird.

"Y/N. Do you like Sabito?" Giyu asked will full seriousness.

Y/N started blushing like crazy not knowing what to say.

"I oh. Umm. I mean... Ummm" Y/N couldn't even think of the words she wants to say.

"Well if you do, I recommend you meet him in the main room. He told me to get you so he can tell you something. He was acting all weird too. Then again when I ask him about you he is always like that." Giyu's words just turned into him rambling. "Ugh, you two are confusing."

Y/N went into the main room where Sabito was standing near the exit. Sabito turns to see Y/N standing in front of him. They both stood in silence trying to find the words to say for a while.

"Y/N..." Sabito starts. "It's been a while since I met you."

"Sabito, what are you trying to say?" Y/N asks. "I-if it's a... confession-" Y/N starts.

"Yeah, it is." Sabito interrupted Y/N

Sabito was being more embarrassed than his average self.

"Then... can I accept it?" Y/N asked, fiddling with her hair looking down.

Sabito blushed at her response and pulled her into a hug.

"Yeah, you can, I.. love you Y/N" Sabito whispered in Y/N's ear.

"I love you too Sabito." Y/N says returning his embrace.

The night ending on a happy note, both Sabito and Y/N started dating, Sabito walked Y/N to her room and kissed her forehead as a goodbye until tomorrow. Y/N walks inside her room with the happiest feeling in her heart. But then she remembered Aiko, Y/N usually did worry about Aiko a lot. So on her next day off, which was usually extremely rare, she may go back and secretly visit the orphanage again so she can see Aiko.

Y/N sat on her futon, wondering if Aiko would like Sabito or not.

Hfdwfchxeroufhidiifciufjufu I need to start writing a lot more. And sorry if this is REALLY cringe. I just wanna wsdvcbhejdcju-9dxipbhjsipnbosed :) but like, How do y'all like it so far?
