"Mommy! Tell me a story!"

"Of course, little one. Come, sit. I have a new story for you."

The woman chuckled, looking down at her small, pink haired daughter. She was always a curious child. Now at the age of three, Mebuki Haruno believed she was ready, to here some of her history at least.

"Really?"

The child's green eyes widened in curiosity. Her Kaa-san always told the best stories while her father was away.

"I've told you many stories before little one, but I think it's about time you hear your ancestors."

"My an-ceque- antique?" The little girl stuttered confused.

"Ancestors" Mebuki laughed lightly.

"Anquestors? Ancedars? An-an- " the little girl huffed, frustrated.

"Now, now Sakura. I can't tell you the story if you keep interrupting".

Sakura's eyes widened and she immediately closed her mouth, unintentionally puffing out her cheeks like a chipmunk.

"Long, Long ago....."

                                                            🌸

They never seemed to get along...

The two sons,  different as night and day...

They always started as friends, but always ended in war...

So their father changed something...

He decides that with each reincarnation of his sons, the sun and moon, he would incarnate a mediator.

The stars that lay in between.

That's how our clan came to be.

The House of Haruno.

Originally Samurai  warriors under our leader,

The only daughter of the Sage of Six Paths,

Reiko D'mara-Haruno...

                                                    🌸

Sakura stared at her mother in wonder. Her clan was that old? Maybe they weren't originally Ninja like her father, but they were obviously strong. She smiled, maybe she would be lucky enough to meet one of the reincarnations of the daughter at one point in her life.

                                                             🌸

Mebuki closed the door to her daughter's room slowly, as not to disturb the sleeping child. She sighed heavily and sat down on the couch, head in her hands. There was much she hadn't told her young child, but she would learn, in time of course.

  🌞🌚🌌🌸🌌🌚🌞(time skip to the morrow)

"Daddy! I want to go to the park!" Sakura giggled, grabbing on to her father's leg as he walked by. He looked down and ruffled her hair affectionately.

"Sorry Saku, you're going to have to go by yourself today while I prepare some things for your training later." He paused for a moment, "You sure you still wanna be a Shinobi?"

He looked down to see his child's green eyes sparkling like stars. He internally sweatdropped. Of course she did. Sakura was his daughter after all. He could still remember the day when she had told him that she wanted to be a Kunoichi...

"Daddy!" A two year old Sakura exclaimed, rushing to her Father, stumbling in the process. Kizashi laughed as the little girl frantically tried to tell him something.

"Hey, slow down little firefly."

Sakura looked up at her father's expectant eyes and smiled nervously. She took a deep breathe, unconsciously puffing out her cheeks.

"I wanna be a Ninja, just like you!"

Kizashi looked at his child bewildered. Most girls her age couldn't even read a book fluently, and here was his daughter, age two, stating she wanted to be a very dangerous individual.

"Why?" He gulped, wanting to steal her off a path of delusions as quickly as possible.

"I want to protect my village, and the people I love, that's my Will of Fire!" The young girl exclaimed, determination littered in her emerald eyes.

His eyes softened, "What a lovely goal, Sakura."

Sakura giggled as she sprinted towards the park, bright pink hair flowing behind her. Her mother sat on the bench and calmly watched her little girl run around in a bright yellow romper. Sakura had always loved vibrant things. Her hair had recently started to darken, which led Mebuki to believe that she was growing into the Haruno name. It was slowly gaining a darker hue, with almost a reddish tint. That meant Kizashi owed her 800 yen. They had been betting on if Sakura's hair would have a purple hue like his, or a reddish hue like her grandmother, and it appears Mebuki was winning.

The House of Haruno was not a Shinobi clan, but not really considered civilians either. They were mainly based in the Land of water, so when Mebuki married a leaf shinobi, it was quite a surprise. Now her daughter wished to be a shinobi, just like her father.

Mebuki smiled at that, and watched her daughter approach a young boy around her age. 'Oooo potential love interest already, Sakura?' She giggled internally. Kizashi was going to kill her later.

(A/n)

Hope you all enjoyed the prologue, I really just wanted to ease into this story. Though, I think I'm gonna have a lot of fun with this. Prepare yourselves for something completely different than the cliche "SAKURA IS SO PRETTY AND STRONG" story. I really wanted to take a different turn here. Though, it's probably still gonna suck, anyways enjoy!
