I hear footsteps from behind us, making us turn around. My eyes widen when I see Allison slowly approaching the room. "Allison, what are you doing down here? You should be in bed," Luther says. She scribbles something on her notebook, showing it to us. It says:
Let her go.
"I can't do that. She hurt you," Luther sighs. She flips to a different page, scribbling something.
My fault.
"I'm sorry, but she's staying put." She glares at him, shaking her head. She tries to walk past him, but he stops her. "Just until we know what we're dealing with." She tries to go on the other side of him, but he won't budge. She hits his chest, angrily, a few times, her breathing uneven. "She stays put." She tries to rush past him, but he stops her again. She punches him in the arm, and she gasps, as she becomes weak, almost collapsing to the floor. "Come on. Come on. You need to rest. Come on, let's go." She pulls away from him, and they start to leave. I look at Vanya, sighing.
This is so wrong on every level possible, but... if I let her out, if I'm the one to do that, and she gets out of control and hurts someone... that's on me. She is my sister, but she's angry, and she doesn't know how to control her powers. Trust me, I've been there. I used to accidentally hurt people with my powers when I first started learning to control them. It's hard, and it's frustrating. I can't even imagine what it's like to think you're not special you're whole life and then find out you do have powers, and they were hidden from you for years.
She's angry, and it's justifiable, but I can't let her out, knowing she could very well be dangerous.
I mouth the words "I'm sorry" to her, before approaching the glass. I place my hand over hers, giving her a sad look. With that, I leave the room, a couple of tears rolling down my cheeks.
*later*
As I'm sitting on my bed, I hear crashing coming from the basement making me look up.
What that-- No, it couldn't have been... I saw what that cage was made of. Not even I could break through it, if I wanted to.
I stand up my bed, opening my door. I feel the house start to shake, and I hear glass shattering and explosions rumbling.
What the hell is going on?!
"Yo, what the hell is going on," Diego says.
"Are those explosion's coming f--," Klause starts.
"Vanya," Pogo says. "You need to get to safety outside the Academy."
"Don't get Mom," Luther shouts, as Klaus and Diego rush down hall. "Pogo. I'm--"
"Go! Now," Pogo shouts.
"Wait, I'll come with you," I say to Pogo.
"No, it's too dangerous," He shakes his head.
"I can handle it," I assure him. He sighs, and I follow him down the hall.
