t had been another day or so since the whole party incident, yet the both of them hadn't barely exchanged many words over the whole ordeal.

The French man sat crisscrossed on his bed, his fluffy brown hair a real mess, yet it somehow stayed without knots, thus his hair was a literal fluffy... mess.

Meanwhile Dream was sliding halfway off the bed in boredom, tapping away at his phone, which annoyingly, it was at a loud volume which made noises with all the games he was playing, whatever they were.

"Hey, can you turn it down...?"
Vincent rubbed his eye tiredly, before leaning forward and falling, shoving his face into the comfortable blanket with a slight whine.

"Why should I~"
Dream turned off his phone and turned around to look at Vincent, who was simply mentally dying as he always was, from the looks of things.

"Because it's annoyinggg...."
He argued back, but it was muffled by the blanket.

"Hm, alright, my French fry."
Clay grinned, pulling out his phone again and muting the volume like the good person he is. Unfortunately he couldn't see the French man internally blushing.

Clay placed his phone down and looked at the French man's fluffy hair. Without thinking much, he extended his hand and ran his fingers through the floof, gently feeling the soft strands.

"Ooo, sooft..."
He smiled, until Vincent raised his head to look at him with the resting bitch face he always gave everyone.

"Why must you do this..?"
The French man exhaled, shaking his head and moving Dream's outstretched hands that tried to reach for the floof.

"B--but--"

"Nuh uh, not today, you little Smiley."

His resting bitch face turned into a wide grin as he giggled, poking Clay's cheek gently.

Clay simply smiled back, before poking the French man's nose in retaliation.
"That's rEvenge!"
His voice did a high-pitched voice crack, making him sound like an actual child.

After a few more cheeky replies to eachother, it didn't take long for the two to start chasing eachother around the house, while Ian just flattened his ears and stared, not moving from the bed as they ran around.

It ended when Vincent ended up almost slamming his head into the corner of the living room. He gave a slight gasp before giggling again, until he was cornered by Dream.

"Nowhere to go, Frenchie~"
Clay smiled, making sure the French man couldn't escape, as kinky as that may sound, he had no bad intentions, he's not the type to do anything like that... excluding... that one time.

Vincent just stared at Dream's face, butterflies gathering up inside him until he was surprisingly just tackled into a soft, gentle hug.

"Got you, Frenchie!"
Clay giggled, still hugging Vincent, who didn't hesitate in hugging back. They stayed like that for a few seconds until they both moved away, satisfied with the end of their little chase.

"Awh, your are such a little potato, sometimes, Frenchie."
Dream smiled, gently pinching the French man's cheek before stepping back to let him out of the little corner.

"I--uhm.. t-thanks?"
Vincent slightly stuttered nervously, before looking at Clay.
"Hey, err... I've realised, you haven't really seen France, have you?"

The French man looked away again, as the other's eyes widened in a bit of surrpise at the other's simple words.

"Err, I actually came to uh... meet you, but I guess you could show me around if you wanted to."
Clay's mouth formed a soft grin.

~~ Timeskip ~~

And with that, the two were leaving the house to enjoy some time in France together, instead of simply sitting around and doing nothing but eat bread slices and drink some apple juice boxes from the fridge.

The two didn't know where they were headed, but he simply followed Vincent, who seemed to just be walking in whatever directions he felt like.

"Uhm, where are we headed?"
Clay asked curiously, increasing his speed to keep up with the French man.

"Uhm, just somewhere."
Vincent replied calmly, as he continued walking. By this time, night had extended over the sky, stars swallowing the once blue yonder.

It didn't take long, until Dream blinked in surprise. It was beautiful.

They had stopped at a small river next to a hill, where a busy road drove over a bridge. The sky was by far dark by now, and the only thing lighting up the hill was the nearby lamppost and the starry sky.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?"
Vincent smiled, looking over at Clay.

"Not as beautiful as you, Frenchie."

He replied to the French man, whose smile faded away as he heard that.

"Hey, erm.. Clay?"

"Yes?"

"Why.. do you uhm.. say things like that?"
Vincent asked, looking back to the river as he sat down, which Dream also did, as they sat side-by-side.

"Like what?"
Clay asked, almost being oblivious to what the French man was saying.

"Like... calling me beautiful.. almost... flirting with me, in a way?"
Tears gently pricked at the French man's eyes, but he forced them back.
"D-do you know.. how it hurts knowing you don't mean it?"

Dream was taken aback by Vincent's words, really surprised if anything. He replied quickly, pulling a hand on Vincent's slightly shaking shoulder.

"Who said I didn't mean it Frenchie..?"
Dream said quietly, looking at Vincent. It didn't take long before he realised he had started to cry.

"I--Vincent--"
Clay didn't even try to speak again, pulling the upset man to his chest, rubbing his back in a comforting way.
"Shh.. Vin... it's okay.."

Vincent put his arms around Clay, sniffling as he tried his best not to cry, to stop crying, actually.
"B-but.."

"Vin, I.. I need to tell you something.."
Clay said quietly again, before moving the French man back to make them face eachother.

"H-huh?"
Vincent wiped the remaining tears away with his sleeve, looking at Dream, blinking.

"I...I love you, okay, Vin?"
Clay turned his hands into fists, swallowing hard as he continued.
"I've.. actually kinda loved you for a while now, I just.. didn't know when to tell you.."

Vincent just stared, shocked, surprised, stunned, even. It was a masisve mix of emotions.
"I-I..."
He was in disbelief at Clay's words, but when he opened his arms for the French man, he immediately hugged him tight, happy.

"J-je t'aime, Clay."
They held tightly onto eachother, the two now lovers holding onto eachother as they stared off at the river and the shining, city lights.

They loved eachother, and nothing was stopping them now.
