The unfairness of life is what makes it fair to all... Some way or the other, life is unfair to everyone... Every living soul have their own set of problems to deal with and every problem is colossal to the person who have to go through it... So it's pointless to compare your life with anyone else or to get envious of them just because they look happier... Omkara always believed that... and that's why, even though life was hard on him from the beginning... he never complained...
He was born into a wealthy family, the Oberois... But wealth is not a thing most needed for a child... Love is... Ananya, his mother, died giving birth to him so he didn't really have any memories of her... And by the time he was old enough to understand the bond between a father and son... He realised Tej Singh Oberoi doesn't really share such bond with him... Tej did take every single responsibility of a father... But couldn't brought himself to love the little Om because of his own sorrows...
Tej Singh Oberoi loved his wife Ananya more than anything else in this world... And unfortunately her sudden death scarred him for life... Tej Singh Oberoi couldn't brush off the thought that the kid came into this world at a cost of his Ananya's life... He knew that the child was innocent and he was just being a heartless man to push him away... But human nature is hard to explain... and even though he tried, Tej couldn't forget it. He couldn't forget that horrible day when he lost his beloved wife... And everytime he saw his son, it reminded him how his wife had chosen this kid over her own life...
But when God takes something away from you, he gives you something in return too. So what, If Om didn't get His father's affection... Instead, he found two important people of his life...
Omkara was two years old when his Dadi forced his father to get married again... and that's how his Jahnvi mom came into his life... Jahnvi was a kind hearted woman who loved her husband even though she knew her one sided feelings would never reach Tej...
Not only that.... Unlike Tej, she even accepted Omkara as her own son... He wasn't her own flesh and blood but she never cared about it. For her... Om was her son... And she was his mother...
Tej did fulfilled his duties towards Jahnvi like he always do... And 3 year later of her one sided marriage, Jahnvi was blessed with a baby boy... Rudra....
When Jahnvi placed the new born into the arms of little Omkara... in an instant, he found his source of happiness in Rudra... his brother...
If Tej, Jahnvi and Omkara were beads of different colours... Rudra was like the thread that was connecting all of them.... He was the life line of Oberoi mansion... the bright light maintaining the balance against the dark sadness around his father, mother and brother...
Days became years along with the childhood that turned into mere memory... Omkara was now no longer a kid.... He turned into a different person altogether... Although he still loved to be in solitude.... But finding his own passion made him an attractive and strong personality...
When He joined the College, he had no idea how his life is gonna change its course... The college was a renowned one in the public eye... But in reality, it was rotten from inside... It took sometime for Om to notice how the innocent students were suffering...
The extreme level of ragging that cost lives of many students... Boys and girls of the hostels getting addicted to drugs and thus ruining their lives forever... The system inside the college was rotten to the core... In short, indiscipline at its peak... Existence of two rival students' federation made it even worse... They used to create commotion at a regular basis... But since powerful people were connected to the college, it was hard for the outside world to know what was going inside...
