Aaron gently led his horse through the rocky terrain of the mountain path, his blue headband whipping in the breeze. Out of the blue, he heard a strange noise. It almost sounded like a rock falling. He quickly dismounted and pulled the horse's reins over its head, leading on foot. After looking around for a second, he heard another sound. Was someone crying, or was it just the wind?

He noticed a glint of gold from beyond a tall bush and leaned around to see what it was. It was a crown. And laying on the ground next to it was a young man covered in blood, tears staining his face. Aaron froze, dropping the reins. After a second, he realized an arrow was stuck in his shoulder, crimson blood dripping from the shaft and staining the dirt around him. Dried blood stained his kimono and the crown beside him, and his ankle looked as if it was twisted.

He dashed forward and landed on his knees next to the young man, holding him up carefully. "What happened to you?!" Aaron asked worriedly. He shook his head and clenched his fists tightly, the arrow dripping yet more blood.

Aaron whistled to his horse, who quickly trotted over and stopped next to them, then lifted the young man onto the saddle, jumping on behind him. Aaron spurred the horse to a gallop, blazing down the path as fast as he could manage. He kept a hand on the young man's shoulder to keep the arrow from moving too much, as the horse was bouncing slightly as they rode.

It took a few minutes to get to the village, but when they finally crossed through the gates, Aaron leapt off the horse and slid the young man down, carrying him to the physician's house. He busted through the door and quickly laid him down, whistling loudly. The physician was surprised, but upon seeing the blood and arrow, immediately went to work collecting supplies.

When they came back, the young man was out cold, his breathing shallow. The physician looked at Aaron confused, "What happened?" Aaron shook his head, "I don't know. I was out on my daily ride when I found him....." His eyes widened, "Wait, there was a crown next to him.....could he be a royal from a neighboring country?!" The physician glanced at the young man's silk clothes, "It's very possible. But why would a royal be all the way in the Azure territory?"

The young man groaned and shifted his position, and something fell out of the neck of his kimono.

It was a necklace. Bearing the royal crest of the Oushidari Nation.
