You bet I like you!

Chapter 1

Hilda just came home from school. Tired, she sat on the couch, taking her phone. 336 missed messages?! What could they've done in the 10 minutes after school?
She read them all. Most of the messages were one worded messages containing words like "lol", "lmao" and "xD". Exhausted, she put the phone away and decided to make her homework.
'Geez, maths gets harder every day! Yesterday it was about 2+2 and all, and today we'll have to make exercises like 7y+8x=33z!', she screamed.
Then her phone started pinging again. This time, a message from Hilbert, the cute boy she secretly had a crush on. Excited and nervously, she took her phone and read the message.
'Hey, did you see the mail our teacher sent? We're in the same group of the project!', he apped.
Hilda felt extremely happy that she and Hilbert were in the same group.
She didn't know what to send back. So she sent: 'Cool!'
A few seconds later he replied with: 'You bet so! I'm so lucky to be with you!'
Now Hilda started sweating. What did he mean? Did he have a crush on her? Normally, Hilbert is shy and is never the starter of conversations.
Confused, she texted her friend Rosa.
She replied with: 'If a shy boy changes his behaviour towards you, that means he might like you!'
Hilda was feeling very excited. Maybe he could be her boyfriend! She had always wanted one, but she doesn't dare to make the first move.
A few minutes later, Hilbert apped: 'Hey! You still there???'
Hilda was in a shock. She forgot to text him back!
She texted: 'Yeah, sorry! I'm still here!'
Hilbert replied with: 'Ah, I thought you were taking a nap or something! Nothing personal :)'.
He sent her a smile! She was now overthinking. Did that mean Hilbert was in love with her? Then she reminded herself to check the mail and to see what the project is about.
She clicked on "Mails", and selected the mail her teacher sent.
The groups her teacher made were groups of two. She and Hilbert were in one group. She started reading about what the project was about.
It was from physical education, and every group has to create its own game and will get one lesson to play the game with the rest of the class. She and Hilbert would make a game together.
That meant a lot of touching each other...
