'Hey! Hilbert, how are you?', Hilda asked in the phone.
'Oh, uhm, that's fast', said Hilbert in the phone.
'I'm perfectly fine. My mom is still very thankful though. Uhm, thank you, if I hadn't said that yet.', said Hilbert.
Hilda blushed, but since they're talking on the phone there would be no way for Hilbert to see her blushing.
'You're welcome. That's what friends do, right? Protecting each other', said Hilda.
Hilbert's pov
'You're welcome. That's what friends do, right? Protecting each other', said Hilda in the phone.
Wow, she sees us as friends! I'm so happy right now! I wish we weren't just friends... I...
'Well uhm, I gotta hang up right now', said Hilda. 'There's still lotta homework to do!'
'Oh uhm, bye!', said Hilbert.
Normal pov, Hilda's house
Hilda couldn't concentrate on the homework. She was thinking about working together with Hilbert. She suddenly heard her dad come home. Her parents never work on the same day. She ran down to her dad, and forced a kiss on his cheek. 'Oh hey, why Hilda?' Her dad asked.
'Somethin' excited happened durin' the last days?' Her dad asked.
'Well... let's say no', Hilda said.
'Alright, as you say so!' Her dad replied.
Hilda decided to go to sleep, while her parents are cuddling(she wants to avoid awkwardness).
But she can't sleep. She wants to know how Hilbert feels towards her. She decided to ask him tomorrow.
