The Bell Rang

Students filled the empty hallways,Heading towards the exists excited to finally be free from the hell hole that is school and walking back home.

Not for Russia and America though.

Russia waited outside the front doors of the school waiting for his friend,the American had promised him to show a secret place that he often went to,So he waited.

"I'm here!" Russia turned around only to see an obviously familiar American out of breath. "But there's no time to lose let's go!" Before Russia can answer America grabs his hand and heads towards a pathway leading into the woods,Russia slightly blush from the sudden act.

After going through the forest,Passing old abandoned overgrown cabins and campsites,America finally let's go of Russia's hand.

"Here we are!"

Russia's POV

"So,What do you think?" Америка asked smiling at me.

"This is.. beautiful" I said.

It was a field full of sunflowers,the sunset just makes it even more magical.

"How come I've never seen this?"

America faces the field with a calming expression,which to many is unlikely of him since he's always bubbly and loud.
"Almost no one knows the path to go here except Canada and a few others.So your lucky I told you about it!" America giggled.

Meeting you was already a blessing to me.

We played around before getting tired and just talk while looking onto the dusky pink sky.We had a lot of fun.

"Hey Rus?"

"Да,Аме?"

Америка turned away from me,I wanted to ask if he's alright but another part of me told me to just be patient and wait for him to answer.

I still don't regret being patient till now you know?

Америка sat up so I did too,he took off his well-known sunglasses and looked back at me with his Black and White eyes and said

"Russia you've been one of my best friend I ever had and I never wanted to ruin it but.."

"Я люблю тебя!"

I'll never forget that moment you confessed

"я тоже тебя люблю."

He froze,looked at me with wide eyes and in a split second tackled me to the ground hugging me.I hugged back with a smile

"I thought you were- going t-to reject m-me" He sat up with a genuine Smile and teary eyes.

"I guess I proved that wrong." I said softly lifting his hair so I could kiss him on the forehead before hugging him again.

Comfortable silence and soft wind filled the sunflower field as dusk falls.

"Promise me you'll never truly leave me Rus."

"I promise."

I placed a sunflower crown on the stone.

"I'll join you soon,but for now please wait for me,Я люблю тебя." I said smiling softly. I stood up and left to go home to my kids.
