The Orphan Prologue

Warning this is just a short story so be honest in what you think of it. p.s its my first time writing a story so i wanted to write a fairy tale. Hope you enjoy

Once upon a time,there was a Kingdom,and in that Kingdom there was a woman and a child. They were poor. The mother was young and unpaid. She knew very little about being a parent so she needed someone else to be one to her child.

One night she decided what to do, she was to leave her child to an orphanage. She knew it would be hard but, it had to be done for she could not care for her child. She set of as the day ended. It was midnight by the time she got to the ophanage. Her daughter was fast asleep.

When she got there she laid her daughter into a basket with a note with her name age and dare of birth written on it she also left a ring. Engraved in the ring was ' You will shine brighter than many of the stars above'.

As she stood up she said,

"Your mother loves you but she cannot look after you. So be good, and remember me because I will remember you, always."

With her last words said she knocked on the door until she heard someone coming. She blew her a kiss and ran crying silently into the darkness. . .
