The Conversation

Jack's POV

After stumbling out of Jonah's bunk I saw him standing there. The one who could make but also break my heart in seconds, I could see his breathing was irregular but clearly trying to hold himself together. I couldn't tell if I wanted to run away crying or hug him really tight.

Zach: Jack.
Jack: Zach.
Zach: I'm sorry for hurting you.
Jack: It's fine, wait how did you know?
Zach: Jonah and I communicate often.

Of course they did. If this goes bad, I'm killing Jonah. Why would he do this to me? He knows how much I like Zach! I got cut off by Zach talking.

Zach: So will you?

Shit, I wasn't listening. Should I ask him to repeat or just say yes? I don't want him to think I wasn't listening to him but at the same time I don't particularly want to get myself into something I have no clue I got myself into.

Jack: What was that? Sorry I haven't really been thinking straight.
Zach: I know, I explained why I rejected you, it's because Daniel was really controlling of me and Corbyn helped get Daniel to stop. I really like you too Jack. Go out with me? Please? I'm really sorry about how I rejected you and I should've been nicer about it but I was scared.
Jack: Zach, I forgive you.
Zach: Y-you do?

I could hear the stutter in his voice, he's nervous.

Jack: Yes, I do.

I pulled him into a hug, I was so happy but of course someone had to interrupt this perfect moment, that person was someone I didn't really want to see. Daniel. He was being dragged out by Corbyn in a straight jacket, oh god.

Jack: What's wrong with him?
Corbyn: What's wrong with him? Don't make me laugh Jack, he's mentally insane.
Jack: What did he do?
Daniel: I did nothing!
Corbyn: Shut up or I will make you.
Jack: Spit it out, what did he do?
Corbyn: he tried to...
