Since that night at the bar, Owen and Jennifer had continued to grow closer. They would often visit each other at their respective apartments and had spent an equal amount of time out and about around the city. More than a dozen times they had replicated their bar encounter at different restaurants and fast food places. Though Owen was more than capable of increasing his weight on his own, Jennifer's added encouragement had seemed to push him even further.
December had finally come, and on the morning of the first day, Owen stepped on the scale to see the effects of Jennifer's involvement over the past several months.
The number 289 lit up after a moment causing Owen to break out into a huge grin. He then snapped a picture to send the culprit of his practically lightning fast gain.
"You made me fat!" was all he said along with the image.
Almost instantly a reply came.
"Not yet I haven't" she replied with both the kissing and winking emoji.
Another text came in quick succession.
"Are you busy later? We're going to celebrate."
Owen quickly replied that he would be free all afternoon and started cleaning up a bit as he eagerly awaited Jennifer's visit.

Several hours later, a knock at the door announced Jennifer's arrival.
Owen opened the door to reveal his friend; along with three bags of Chipotle.
"I thought you might want just a little something" she said walking in and placing the bags on the coffee table.
Owen thanked his friend for her generosity while eyeing the bags hungrily. He instinctually rubbed his now much larger stomach before turning to ask what exactly Jennifer had in mind; though of course he already knew.
"Well...289 is a nice number. But I was thinking more along the lines of something starting with a 3. The year isn't over just yet, and I bet we could ring in the New Year with a new milestone."
As she spoke she began to unpack the the three bags and place the items on the table. When she was finished, two burritos, two bowls, and two large orders of chips and queso were laid out.
"Everything is double steak, queso, and all the toppings. I know that's your favorite."
"Wow. Thanks again for all of this" Owen said as he moved to take a seat on the couch in front of the table.
This was far from the first time they had done this, but each time he felt a wave of excitement wash over him. He rubbed his stomach again and pulled a bit at the fabric of his shirt. Jennifer loved when he wore something too small, and despite the stretch, he was barely able to pull the medium sized t-shirt halfway over his protruding stomach.
Owen was broken out of his thoughts by the subject of his thoughts placing two gallon jugs of milk next to the food.
"I know it's not your faaaavorite" she drawled. "But it's filling, right? We don't want to make getting to 300lbs too easy. Or finishing all of this."
Owen chuckled a bit. He certainly was up for the challenge.
Jennifer watched as he picked up a jug of milk and chugged the entire container in one go.
