Chapter 15: Bottleneck

Two transparent windows appeared in front of Bell. He was quite happy when he read them.

[You have gained a skill point.]

"You can do it Bell. I believe in you!" Hestia said before she pushed Bell forward.

"Yes!" Bell shouted before he ran out in front of the Silverback. He immediately had to dodge to the side to not get hit by the chain.

The Silverback roared and tried to hit him again but Bell dodged to the side again before he continued to run towards the Silverback. When he was close enough he tried to stab him but couldn't, he had to dodge the Silverback's punch by jumping to the side.

'I can do this!' Bell shouted inside his mind.

The Silverback turned towards Bell and  tried to hit him again with the chain. Bell had no time to dodge so he had to take the hit. He blocked the attack with his knife and was surprised when the chain broke to pieces.

"What is this..." Bell thought aloud when he saw the chain break to pieces.

"That's how strong you are, Bell! That knife is alive! The more you grow, as its wielder, the stronger it will become!" Hestia shouted as she popped up from behind the fountain.

The Silverback tried to punch Bell but he dodged again by jumping on his arm and running towards his head. The Silverback immediately tried to grab him but Bell was faster than him and slashed his mask as he ran past his head before he jumped down behind him.

"Believe in that knife! Believe in me! And most importantly, believe in yourself!" Hestia shouted as she watched Bell fight.

The Silverback tried to hit Bell with his other chain as he turned around but the chain also shattered to pieces when Bell blocked it with his knife. The chains were already quite damaged because the Silverback was smacking them around when he was chasing Bell and Hestia.

With both of his chains gone, the Silverback could only try to punch, grab, or bite Bell. But Bell was faster and more agile than him as he constantly ran around him and slashed his legs with his knife.

The Silverback let out a painful roar when he finally managed hit Bell. He manahed to hit him but he lost a finger in return. Bell cut it off when he tried to block the fist coming at him. Though, he was still smacked away by it. He flew a dozen meters and when he hit the ground, he immediately stood up and charged at the Silverback.

'That attack definitely broke one or two of his bones. Still, I can't believe he managed to stand up after taking that attack head on. Even my Destroyer would get damaged after taking that kind of attack.' Light Three Alpha thought as she watched Bell from the rooftop. Kakashi was also there watching from the distance. He stood a few meters beside Light Three Alpha.

Seeing that he could get seriously injured by the Silverback's attacks. Bell became more focused as he attacked. The Silverback let out a painful roar when Bell dodged one of his punches again and slashed his ribs. He was lucky that the metal chestplate protected him. It fell off afterwards. The knife that Hestia gave him easily cut through the metal and the leather strappings like a hot knife through butter.

The Silverback let out an angry roar as it swung his arm at Bell. It was also the last attack that the Silverback made. Bell dodged the attack and jumped towards the Silverback, he pierced his knife into his chest and pierced his heart. Seeing that the Silverback was still moving and the knife was stuck, he jumped away in case the Silverback would grab him or hit him but the monsters let out a painful growl before collapsing and disintegrating. Only the shackles and the armor that the Silverback wore had remained. There was also his monster core laying under a piece of armor.
