Sister

Liam's hand holding the rusting piece of metal hovered over the trash can, he closed his eyes before pulling his back and putting the piece of metal back under his pillow.

He laid on his bed just trying to figure out what has been happening to him, why couldn't he do what he has done for as long as he could remember, why couldn't he just throw away if he couldn't bring himself to do it again. He stared at the roof of his van, he started to see glimpses of a face he thought he recognized but sure as the was blurry.

Just when the face was becoming clear he felt someone shaking him "Liam, Liam, LIAM". Liam turned head to see one of foster siblings, Olivia. Olivia was his sister from Liam's first foster family. When Olivia's parents fostered Liam they thought that they couldn't have children, but later  Olivia's mother got pregnant with her a couple months after, when she was born her parents paid no attention to Liam. They never played with him, nearly staved him at one point, when he tried to play with Olivia he got yell at and sometimes beaten. A few years ago Olivia and Liam reconnected and stayed in touch with each other.

"What the hell are you doing here" Liam said groggily still trying to realize what was happening. "Wow, first off, it's not like I was actively trying to find you I was just walking to my job and found your van, and second, it's nice to see you to" "sorry you just caught me at a bad time" "yeah it seems like it's always a bad time for you" Liam couldn't help but smirk at her comment, "was that a smile, is Liam Oliver finally showing that he has a heart" "shut up"

She gave him a quick but hard punch on the arm where there was a fresh cut, he quickly grabbed his arm and let out a yell of pain. "Sorry, I didn't know you were injured" "it's alright, I'm alright" "let have a look at it" "NO" "come Liam I'm nurse, I know what I'm doing". Liam closed his eyes as she rolled up his sleeve, when he opened them he could only see disappointment.

"Of course you still cut yourself, even after you promised me that you would stop" "Olivia" "no I get it, look I'm sorry your life sucks, and I'm sorry that my parents had a part in making it suck, and if you want to keep slowly killing yourself then go ahead, but I'm not going to apart of it anymore".

Olivia stormed out of the van, Liam followed her calling her name but she ignored him and continued walking down the street. Liam went back back to his van, slamming the door and grabbed the metal underneath his pillow, pressing it against his throat. He closed his eyes and started to see that face again, this time he could see who it was. It was the girl that who saw him cutting himself in the locker room, the girl he saved in the alley. He looked at the piece of metal for a minute before throwing it in the bin and laid down on his bed.
