Hii guys this is part two I hope you like it. :)

I over hear Peeta trying to persuade Cato and the rest of the career group that I'm just a waste of time, and they should be going after the tributes that will be a bigger threat throughout the game. But, as good as his arguments are, his brilliant use of words has no effect on Cato, and he demands to stay and 'finish me'. I wonder why Peeta still try's to help me though, I mean, he is with the careers why is it that he's trying to protect me? Whatever the reason, I let it slip from my mind, it's to much energy thinking about it. So I replace the thoughts of Peeta and I with the concern of a water source, if I can even escape this dangerous situation I've seemed to stumble across.

The light of day seems to quickly fade as darkness now drapes over the arena, moonlight peeking itself through the greenery that covers the
majority of the domain everyone is savagely trying to slip away from, but it seems in these cruel games there's only two ways you can vanish from the television screens all across Panem. Kill or be killed.

I watch carefully as the career group, one by one seem to doze of, well other then Peeta and Cato who are both on watch, Peeta taking one side of the tree whiles Cato intently patrols the other. I decide that if I have any chance of survival, I should attempt to escape tonight, knowing if I stay any longer in this tree Cato will surely find away to get to me.

So I plan an escape root quickly using my rookie knowledge on the arena - that I've managed to gather through the couple days we've all been here - and finally I'm ready to go. Although it probably seems like an idiotic idea to leave whiles Cato is on watch, I'm desperate and I know if I don't leave now I'll be dead by morning so trying to sneak off at night is my best opinion here.

Peeta and Cato look exhausted as I quietly pack up the little supply's I've collected without even a glance from The tributes who seem ready to pass out. Finally making my why down the tree cautiously, my gaze locked on both Peeta and Cato, making sure they don't catch me before I'm on the ground. My anxious nature however, Distracting me from my footing, causing me to loose balance and crash to the ground with a thud. Cato, Peeta and just about all the careers waking from their slumber, all eyes on me. Cato smirks at me "took you long enough" he chuckles "we were thinking about leaving to.." My heart pounds, and I suddenly feel sick to my stomach watching Clove as she sharpens her knives against a rock, the other careers doing the same. Preparing for what their going to do to me. Yet, I'm frozen in place almost as if time has temporarily stopped, I've zoned anything and everything out except for Cato's words. "I'm glad we didn't. Peeta, why don't you take care of this one.." He smiled almost as if he knew Peeta and I were friends, torturing me with every word that flew out of his chapped lips.

Peeta stared at me, his face going pale as Cato hands him his sword, Peeta's face glistening with sweat, his trembling hands excepting the sword into their grasp. "Peeta.." I croak "Peeta listen.. Please, you don't have to do this" I plead a tear rolling down my dirt covered face. I try to run, but the pain if my sprained ankle - I must have got when I crashed into the ground from such an altitude - I sigh in defeat, tears now streaming down my face, probably making me look even more venerable then I already convey to be. "I- I'm sorry.. But I have to do this" Peeta says, a tear somehow making it's why down his face.what happens next happened so fast, Peeta looks as if about to strike me with his sword when he turns around and stabs Cato in the chest, Clove screaming in shock, diving down towards Cato, the other careers running towards Peeta and I. Peeta's yelling in my face now "Go! Let's go!" I hear, but I don't reply, everything is such a blur. I can feel my legs running, my body turning, my hand being gripped tightly by Peeta's, but.. I say, nothing. We come to a stop, the careers seem to be out of sight, we must of out ran them I think to myself. Peeta then turns towards me, pulling me into a tight hug, gripping at my shoulders almost as though if I escaped his grasp, I'd run away. I'm not sure if I would or not to be honest. "Peeta.." I breath "why did you save me?" Peeta releases me, soon connecting our body's back together with a passionate kiss, I'm shocked, but don't object as I feel the warmth of his soft lips agains mine, for ones ever since I've entered the arena, I feel safe. He breaks the kiss too speak "Because I love you" I smile, as does he. "I love you too Peeta" I whisper, throwing my arms around his neck as he pulls me in for another kiss.
