꒰꒰・┄┄・𓆩♡𓆪・┄┄・꒱꒱"HOW DO YOU FEEL?" It seemed to be the only question everyone wanted to know. Summer had been asked the same question for what felt like the millionth time since she'd woken up. However, she was still in the dark about what really happened while she was out cold and just how exactly it was that she was brought back to her conscious self.
The truth was, no one knew how to break it to her that Eleven had used her powers to stop her from dying. That her heart was manipulated by a force only the younger girl could comprehend. Of course, they knew that she'd be grateful but at the same time anyone would be scared hearing that they were pretty much dying before their telekinetic friend saved them.
"Steve, I swear to God," Summer huffs and swivels around on the marble bench to face him. "If you ask me that one more time I am going to lose my mind. I am fine, I promise."
This time she wasn't lying. She really was fine.
"Are you sure? Because you were-"
"Steve! I am okay." She grabs him by the face, his cheeks squishing together from the light pressure. "It's me we're talking about here. I survived having my neck slashed out by a Demogorgon. I think I can handle being unconscious for a few minutes."
Summer presses a quick kiss to his lips while they were still in a squished pout and her hands fall to rest around his neck. He nods along with what she was saying but there was a look in his eye, guilt perhaps? It was the sort of look he had whenever something was wrong.
He looks away from the girl and his expression tenses, jaw clenching slightly, and when Summer turns to see what he was looking at she's met with Robin, who is staring back at the boy with raised brows and bulging eyes like she was pushing him to do something. Robin immediately tries to act nonchalant but, unfortunately for her, it doesn't work at all.
"Okay, what's going on?" Summer asks, looking back and forth between the two and when neither of them answers she lets out a sigh and stands to her feet, planting her hands on her hips.
"I do not know what you're talking about," Robin says unconvincingly.
"I'm not stupid. Something's wrong, just tell me."
"Not it." Robin smiles at Steve and turns around to face the other way.
Steve rolls his eyes at the blonde before taking in a deep breath and returning his gaze to Summer. He tries to think of all the ways he could tell her, not wanting to just blurt it out, but preferably ease her into it.
The palms of his hands begin to sweat as he opens his mouth to speak. "When you were unconscious, it wasn't just for a few minutes. We didn't know what was happening or why you weren't waking up and then your breathing... it started to slow down. Like, I could barely feel your pulse."
