I wake up and open my eyes to see Mason and Stella still sleeping in my bed. I get out of bed and stretch out my arms. I walk to the bathroom and brush my teeth. Once I finish I walk out of the bathroom to see my mom and dad walking out of their room. "Morning Sweetie" my mom says. I go over and hug her then my dad. I go back into my room and wake up Stella and Mason.
We all get ready and walk downstairs for breakfast. We are all now sitting at the table eating. "So how's all our stuff going to get there, if we leave today?" Mason asks as he chews his bagel. "Mrs. O'Brien is going to send the rest of the stuff once we leave" My mom says back. "Are we selling the house?" I ask. My dad shakes his head, "No, Aunt Jackie is going to move in." Aunt Jackie is my dads sister. She currently lives in apartment just out of town. She has no kids and isn't married so maybe living here can bring her some inspiration to get a boyfriend.
After breakfast we pack the car with our luggage. They're all in the car and I go in the house for the last time for a while. I go into my room and look around. I close the door, "Goodbye" I say as I walk downstairs. I do a 360 and walk out the front door holding pumpkin in my arms. I turn to Dylan's house and let out a breath. I walk down the steps and into the car. We drive to the airport and I can't help myself but look back at the house as we drive away.
On the way I get a text from Cami saying 'Lizzie I love you okay, don't forgot that.' I smile as I read it. After a 22 minute ride, we arrive at the airport. We get assistance with our luggage and get to our gate. We seat in the waiting area until our gate gets called. I just stare down at my phone, hoping Dylan will call to say goodbye.
After 15 minutes, a women holds up a phone to her mouth "Flight 7112 is now boarding to San Fransisco ." My family gets up and get in line to board the plane. "Lizzie!" I hear a voice call out. "Lizzie" I hear again. I turn to see Dylan. "I'll be right back" I say. "Hurry" my mom says back. I run to him at the back. We collide together and hug. "I thought you weren't going to say goodbye" I say still in the hug. He lets go "Lizzie I love you" he states.
I kiss him passionately and pull away. "Lizzie I can't let you go" he says. "Dylan what are you talking about I'm leaving" I say back. "Lizzie I know, but I won't give up on us" he lets out a shaky breath "I love you, and whether we're 3 miles apart or 3,000 miles apart, I'll still love you" he says. I kiss him again wrapping my hands around the back of his neck. "What about Olivia?" I ask. He shakes his head "Olivia likes me but I can't stop thinking about this other girl" he says with a sly smile. "Whose the girl?" I say with a grin. "Last call for Flight 7112" the flight attendant says on the speaker. I turn to the gate and back to Dylan. "Dylan I love you" I say giving him a small kiss. I hug him once more before letting go. He holds onto my hand, "I wish I could change your ticket Lizzie" he says. I let out a chuckle, "Bye Dylan" I say with a side smile. He pulls me in and kisses me once more before letting me go. I run back to my gate and turn just before entering the plane. He waves at me and I wave back. He puts his hands in his pocket and I blow him a small kiss as I walk into the plane. As I walk down I turn and run back to him for one more final hug and kiss. "I love you" I say letting go. He smiles back and lets out a chuckle "Go Lizzie or I might have to keep you here with me" he says. I kiss him again. "Go" he says lightly pushing me forward. I run into my plane and take my seat next to Mason. I put my seat buckle on and hold onto Mason's hand. "Ready?" he asks turning to me. "No," I say "But what ever happens it'll be okay" I say with a smile.
After 10 minutes the plane takes off and we are in the air. I look out the window as the ground begin to get smaller and farther away. I close my eyes and let out a breath. "How do you think Pumpkin likes the plane?" Mason says tilting his head. I let out a chuckle and turn to him with a smile. I look out the window and press my head against it. "San Fransisco" I say. "I heard the food is good" Mason adds. I laugh, we both turn on a movie and watch it. I cover us in a blanket as we fall asleep. The flight will be three hours before we make it to our new home and our new life in California.
+ Thank you so, so, so much for reading Change Your Ticket. I hope you loved it as much I did. What do you think of the ending? Is there anything you would change? Who did you want Lizzie to end up with? Should I do a sequel of Lizzie in California? Let me know.+
