yuju ran down the stairs,and waited patiently at the gate. she couldn't believe that her crush wanted to meet her separately.

"yuju!" yerin called out to yuju.

yuju turned around to see yerin walking towards her. yuju smiled as she absorbed yerin's facial features,and beauty.

"hey yerin! you said we're going out somewhere?" yuju asked,slightly blushing.

"oh yeah,i just wanted to..you know,hang out together,since were best friends!"yerin said excitedly.

yuju smiled at yerin,lost in deep thought of how she and yerin would be as a couple.

"hello? yuju? are you okay?"yerin said,snapping her fingers in front of yuju's face.

yuju snapped out of her world,and looked at yerin.

"s-sorry i blanked out for a second"yuju stuttered. 

yerin smiled. 

"it's fine,let's get going!"yerin said as she began walking,yuju following along behind her.

the two walked in silence for a bit,until yuju broke it with a question.

"yerin!! are we there yet?"yuju asked.

"almost,just a minute more!"yerin replied enthusiastically.

"ugh my leg hurts"yuju said,pouting.

yerin giggled and turned around to face yuju. she squished yuju's cheeks,receiving a glare from the younger. 

"cute"yerin mumbled,and she turned around to face the front again.

yuju was burning inside,as her heart did multiple backflips. 

fvck yerin why do you make me fall so hard for you?  

yuju slapped herself to snap out of her imagination. "yuju,forget it. she probably doesn't even like you back"yuju mumbled to herself.

they walked a bit more,and reached an aesthetic looking cafe.

"we're here!"yerin cheered,pulling yuju in front of her to see it.

"wow! yerin,this is so cute!"yuju exclaimed upon seeing the small yet pretty cafe.

"haha let's go in"yerin said,ushering yuju inside.

the cafe was decorated with fairy lights,and the lighting was dim to give it an aesthetic feel. yuju smiled as the sweet scent of frappuccino and coffee wafted in the air.

"hi,what can i get for you?"the waitress at the counter asked with  a smile.

"one caramel frappucino,and"

yerin looked towards yuju,gesturing her to order.

"one small iced americano please"yuju said.

"okay,that will be $8.40"

yuju immediately took out her wallet,but before she could even open it,yerin pulled out the 'i'm older' card and gave it to the cashier.

"it's on me today"yerin whispered to yuju,and smiled.

yuju felt her heart jump at how sweet yerin was. she knows that she's probably a hopeless romantic but she can never stop admiring how sweet yerin is.

"please take a seat,and come to the counter if you hear your order being called out" the lady at the counter sweetly said.

"okay,thank you!"the two exclaimed.

yerin and yuju walked to an empty table at the corner of the cafe and sat down.

"well,i hope you like this surprise!"yerin said with a sweet smile.

"of course i do! it's so nice!"yuju exclaimed.

yerin saw yuju's hands idle on the table,and gently placed her hands over yuju's.

yuju's blushed lightly,but thankfully yerin didn't notice it.

"thank you so much for being like family to me yerin. i wish i could have a family who's as kind as you"yuju said,with a sad smile.

yerin's smile disappeared into a face of concern,as she brushed her thumb over yuju's fingers.

"what happened? is everything okay?"yerin asked worriedly,her eyes full of concern.

yuju took a deep breath to hold back the tears that almost fell as she recalled that painful day.

"i-i don't have a mom and dad"

sorry for practically disappearing:(

i had some issues with my PC and i couldn't write for a while.

but now,i can write on my phone! and this means i can update more often too:)
