the girls were walking back to their house after school,chatting about their day.

"so i talked a bit with sojung,and i've gotten to know her even more...still haven't asked her about which way she swings tho.."eunha said to yuju.

"i can't really help with that..but i don't think she's straight,so that might be a plus!"yuju replied.

"hey guys,is this the hopeless romantics club?"eunbi asked,barging in between the two.

"haha i guess so,welcome aboard!"eunha exclaimed.

"lemme guess,you like yewon?"yuju asked.

"can you read minds? because you're correct.."

"haha just a lucky guess! so,you have strong feelings?"

"y-yeah..it started recently,but the feelings are so strong! being her roommate doesn't help,because i just want to confess to her every time,but i can't. i remember her telling me last time that her ideal type was a guy,and that kinda spoils my hopes"eunbi explained.

eunha and yuju were trying to think of ways to help.

"when was the time she said that?"yuju asked.

"last year"

"maybe she feels different now"

"i doubt so"

"why do you say that? you never know unless you ask her! i think you should just ask her casually and see what she says"yuju said with a smile.

"wow yuju really gives the best love advice"eunha added in.

"i agree,thanks yuju"eunbi said,giving yuju a hug.

"no problem eun,you can approach me anytime"yuju said,ruffling eunbi's hair and hugging her back.

"yuju seriously reminds me of my mom,like she's always so caring and kind,and looks after us too!"eunbi said,clinging onto yuju's arm.

"yes,but our mom is sojung sadly.."eunha replied with a smirk.

"yeah..she can be naggy.."eunbi said,a bit too loud.

"yah!! what did you say?!"sojung shouted,running towards them.

"n-nothing..EUNBI LETS RUN!"eunha shouted,running ahead with eunbi.

"YAH YOU TWO ARE DEAD!"sojung screamed,running after eunha and eunbi.

"wait sojung!! give me back my phone!"yewon said upon realising that sojung forgot to give her back her phone while looking at a picture from eunha's instagram account.

that left yuju alone with yerin.

"yennie! what's up?"yuju asked.

yerin was looking at her phone,ignoring yuju's question.

"are you okay?"yuju asked again,looking at yerin with concern.

"huh uh yeah im good"yerin replied,not in her usual sweet voice.

"yerin,something is up. you're not acting like yourself.."yuju asked again,knowing that yerin was hiding something.

"I TOLD YOU I'M FINE! now leave me alone for god's sake!"yerin retorted,walking away from yuju.

yuju was shocked.

why was yerin being so rude to her?

she rarely got mad at anyone for that matter..

"..i-i guess i really am that bad. i only make her life worse.."yuju mumbled to herself,a few tears falling from her eyes.

her mind was filled with thoughts as she controlled her tears from falling down,not wanting to attract attention.

what did i do wrong again?

when the girls reached their house,they all went to their respective rooms to change into some comfortable clothes.

the silence between yuju and yerin was uncomfortable,but after the conversation earlier,yuju didn't want to bring anything up.

just then,yerin's phone rang,startling yuju.

"hayoungie!! did you get my text?"yerin asked her friend hayoung over the phone. yuju knew it would be awkward,so she went into the bathroom to wash up and change first.

"yeah,you spammed me until my battery drained to 1% but it's fine haha"

"anyway,we should probably get started on the it soon. you know how mr hwang likes the projects to be done,neatly and efficiently"

"wow you seriously imitate him well. anyway,do you have anything on today? maybe we could meet at the cafe in about 45 minutes! we can finish it up today itself"

"that's a good idea! i'm free for the rest of today,so i'll see you there!"

"great! bring your laptop,phone,and anything else we could use!"

"okay,see you later!"

"yeah,you too!"

with that,yerin put down the phone and went to sojung's room to inform her. meanwhile,yuju was changing in the bathroom,thinking about why yerin was so friendly to hayoung compared to how she was acting towards her.

"tsk is that hayoung really that great? what does she have to make yerin sound so nice and friendly! am i worth any less than her?!"yuju mumbled to herself in frustration.

she placed her worn clothes in the laundry bag and flopped down on her bed.

my life is so messed up
