The Price Of Obsession (Complete)

Champ's Home

It was Sunday and they were finally on their way to Champs home a day later than originally planned because someone got so drunk they could not get out of bed until late afternoon.

Techno looked over at Champ with a slight smile remembering Friday night.

***Flashback***

Techno and Champ were the last to arrive at the get together, they planned it that way wanting to surprise the crew with Techno's presence.

When they arrived at the restaurant, Can and Good jumped on him before anyone could stop them.

Champ and Type, yelled at the same time.
"CAN,GOOD NO DON'T".

"Really Champ said Can no need for jealousy I have my own hot man".

Both Champ and Type shifted ready to deal with the fall out from that simple hug, but to their surprise and relief Techno hugged them both back and quickly stepped away.

He gave everyone else a brief nod, when he meet Tin eyes he saw something flash for a moment in that expressionless face before it was quickly gone.

To his shock Tin offered his hand for a handshake, it was just a brief touch of hands but it meant alot coming from Tin.

He knows Techno thinks to himself. But knowing Tin, his lips were sealed unless it affected his precious Can.

At the restaurant everyone tried to get Good drunk so they can save their ears later, but he would only have one drink stating he has a surprise for them later at the karaoke bar.

The time passed quickly, with the others talking about their plans after school. They asked Techno how was life as monk and why he came back early?.

He gave them the rehearsed answers, and supported by Champ, Tharn and Type not too many questions were asked.

The only blimp in that night was when they were leaving, they ran into his brother and Kla. His brother tried to speak to him again but one look at Type face he backed off because he remembered the visit that Type paid him late one night. Waking up naked tied to his bed, with Type sitting in a chair playing with a knife will forever be in his nightmares.

Techno did not know about that night, and Type promised him hell on earth if he ever told him. So he backed off after only giving a greeting.

But not Kla, he started at the man he was obsessed with trying to get Techno to talk to him until he was pulled away by Nic.

Techno needed some time after that, so Type and Champ had Tharn take the others ahead while they help Techno  calm down.

After all this was the first time he has been face to face with Kla since the morning his world came crashing down on him.

In the end he told them he was ok and wanted to complete the night as planned. Yes some of the fun had disappeared from the night, but he didn't need to head home to hide.

When they arrived at the Karaoke bar, they notice three women sitting in the group. One was sitting next to Tharn chatting with him that made Type cranky so he immediately went over to stake his claim, so jealous that guy.

As they arrive at the table, and to their shock Good introduce the most beautiful girl in the group as his girlfriend. The other two were her friends, they came with her so she didn't have to be the only woman.

Can also called his sister and invited her since she wanted to come from the start. She said she would be right there along with Shampoo, sorry I meant Chompoo🤷‍♀️.

The fun really began when Good got up to sing, all his friends were sure he will be single after his girlfriend Achara heard him. So the all tried to prevent that disaster, but Good went on stage with her encouragement.

As he walked away she called the waitress and ordered 3 shots. Everyone was looking at her and all started to tell all of Goods, good points. But she only laughed and said he meet Good at a bar just like this. Everyone got quiet after that.

A sober Good started to sing a song  by a band called Fly2K. The issue was Good sang like he talked went he was sober. Imagine scuttle from little mermaid, only singing at a snail pace.

After he was done, amidst loud applause from his girlfriend and her friends while his friends looked on in disbelief.

Yes it does seem like there's someone for everyone.

After he arrived at the table he was given those three shots. It seems she knew his weakness.

Everyone took a turn on the stage, even Tin and Can who sang the song summer nights much to everyone amusement.

But the highlight came when a drunk Good and Tharn did a duo. They brought the club to its knees, cause a drunk Good was a born entertainer. He could be a member of BTS, Tharn always said if he sang that good sober he would have invited him to his band already.

It was a good night with great friends.

***END FLASHBACK ****

They arrived at Champ's home and were welcomed by his parents the week flew by, champ parents were so sweet and his little brother was a riot.

They main thing was they accepted Techno in the role of Champ's boyfriend.

Champ often wondered if they would have if they didn't know what happened to Techno. Because he needed their approval he told them the whole truth, because he needed to be strong for Techno.

Unbeknownst to Techno Champ also visited a Therapist for a few sessions because of the guilt he was feeling over what happened. He also blame himself for that night also, so many what ifs

At Champ home, they continued with their dates, even going on a double date with Champ's parents.

To Techno the best date was a picnic at the beach with Champ. Nothing fancy just a simple meal that Champ's mom packed, it was just them and the wide open ocean.

They didn't even talk about anything in particular, when Champ fell asleep on the blanket Techno moved closer and put his head on his lap.

Champ woke to his head on Techno's lap and Techno playing with his hair. His face was towards the water and he looked deep in thought. Champ was not even sure that Techno was aware that he was petting him.

Suddenly Techno looked down and had tears in eyes.

"Thank you Champ, thank you for loving me enough to believe me and sticking by me. Thank you for agreeing to your father's plan in order to give me a place to hide from the world when I needed it".

"I love you Champ, I don't know if or when we can get back to the way we were. But wait for me please and don't ever give up on me".

" I won't Techno, it took us three long years to get to where we are now. I have been in love with you for a year before I asked you out, I will not be letting you go that easy". Said Champ

Techno then stared at him for what felt like days, but in actuality was about a minute before he ever so slowly bent forward and kissed Champ on the forehead before pulling back.

They then stayed like that for another hour, Champ on Techno's lap with Techno playing with Champ's hair and Champ laying there basking in the feel of his boyfriend hand in his hair.
