Mate Of The Poison Dragon Slayer Chapter One: The Surprise On My Doorstep!

Lucy's Pov
I was cooking in my kitchen on a Saturday morning when I heard the doorbell ring. "Coming!" I shouted. Its probably the mailman or a messenger. When I opened the door I was very surprised. Standing in front of me is Lahar and Cobra. Lahar fixed his glasses and nodded curtly. " Hello Lucy Heartfilia. Good morning to you. On behalf of the magic council, we have an assignment for you." He began. Cobra was standing there smirking. " Cobra is in your charge until the council decides he is deemed trustworthy to be released." He said commandingly. Cobra gave a wide toothy grin. My jaw hit the ground. "What?!" I screamed. Cobra immediately winced. Lahar sighed boredly. " Miss Heartfilia-" He started. " No absolutely not! There is no way I'm going to share my apartment with a criminal!" I shouted. Lahar looked like he was about to say something but Cobra cut him off. " Look Loony, I'm staying so deal with it." He said annoyed. Lahar nodded. " Good day Miss Heartfilia." "You." He said pointing at Cobra. " Stay out of trouble." He said walking off. I flipping out! A criminal is staying at my apartment! " Yeah Loony a "criminal" is staying at your apartment." He said. " Stop calling me Loony! My names Lucy!" I yelled. Dang I forgot he could read people's minds. Cobra looked amused. Stupid baka. "I'm not stupid." He states. " Yes you are." I countered. He let a hmph. Cobra shifted around. " Aren't you going to let me in?" He asks. "No I'm going to let you freeze to death, what do you think I'm going to do?" I said sarcastically. I turned around and beckoned him to come in. He rolled his eyes and followed me inside. He looked around a bit and walked into the kitchen. " A cozy little place you've got here. A bit girly but nice." He said. I washed a plate and put it in the dishwasher. " Thanks." I said as I put the last plate in and shut the door, pressing the button. Cobra went to my bedroom. I followed him because my Lucy senses were tingling. They were right because I saw Cobra reading my novel. " KYAAHH!!!" I shouted, Lucy kicking him. " Owww." He mumbled. I grabbed my novel, hugging it to me. " Don't touch my stuff!" I said. He look at me. " I was reading that." I don't friggan care, you idiot. " I'm not an idiot, Lucy." He said. " Yes you are, Cobra." I shot back. He just shook his head. Suddenly his head shot up. His ears started twitching. BANG! BANG! BANG! Something was banging on my door. " Shhhhhhiiitttt!" He groaned as he got up. " Wait! Where are you going?" I asked. He smirked. " What? Miss me already?" He said smirking as he walked to the door. " Shut up!" I said blushing furiously. Cobra opened the door and a huge snake knocks him down, licking his face. " Woah girl, woah!" He said laughing. The snake got off of him and purred as he petted her. " Lucy, this Cubellios, my pet that will be staying with me." He states.  " Umm no I hate snakes." I said. " Too bad She is staying." He said bluntly. " Fine whatever." I said. He flashes a toothy grin. " But if the snake stays then you have to join fairytail." I said. Cobra's jaw dropped. " Hell no!" He said. " Hell yes!" I replied. He shook his head side to side. I shook my head up and down. " Screw off bimbo!" He said. I dropped my cup. " What did you just call me?" I asked dangerously. Cobra looked unfazed. " I called you a bimbo." He said. " The snake goes right now. You have 10 seconds to do it before I call and tell the council." I said. Cobra gave me a panicked look. " Please Lucy! I'm sorry! Sorry! I'll join fairytail! I promise!" He said pleadingly.  I sighed. " Okay!" Let's go!" I said cheerfully. Cobra groaned. "Hey we're not that bad so chin up!" I said. He just sighed. 

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~At The Guild.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Me, Cobra, and Cubellios walked into the guild. Everyone was doing the usual routine, fighting and drinking. But all of that stop when we walked in. Natsu got into his battle stance and so did Gray and Erza. " What is he doing here?" asked Gray. " I'm all fired up!" said Natsu as his fists flamed up. " Why is he here and with you Lucy?" asked Erza. Cobra winced probably because of all the racket. Master even came out. I took a deep breathe. " Guys SHUT UP!" I yelled. Everyone immediatley quieted down. " The magic council tasked me with the task of watching Cobra and Cubellios. ( A/N In this story Cubellios did not turn into Kinana.) There was alot of confused "whats?" and "Whys" but I ignored them. I looked up at master. " Master, Cobra would like to join if thats alright with you." I said. He nodded. " Come Cobra." He said walking into his office. Cobra and Cubellios followed Master into his office and I did  as well. " Where would you like yours at?" He asks. Cobra pointed to the front of his neck. Master nodded and stamped the emblem. " Her too." He said nodding to Cubellios. Master nodded and stamped the emblem on the back of Cubellios's neck. " Welcome to fairytail!" Master said. Cobra grunted and walked out bumping me, which me being caught off guard teetered backwards and nearly fell over the railings. Cobra caught me just in time. " Thanks Cobra!" I said gratefully. He nodded. I made my towards the bar and Mira came over. " Hey Lucy! The usual?" She asks. I gave her a smile. " You know me so well." I joked. She gave me her award winning smile and went off to make the smoothie. A few minutes later, she came back with my strawberry smoothie. " Here you go, enjoy!" She said as she went off to help with other members. Cobra and Cubellios came over to where I was and he sat down while she rested at his feet. I finished my smoothie. " Hey Cobra let's go the pet shop and buy her a bed." I said. He nodded. " And we have to go and buy you some sheets and blankets." I added. He nodded again. " Well let's go!" I said walking out the door. We went to my apartment and left Cubellios there and went shopping. Cobra bought her a huge purple dog bed and had her name imprinted on it. After that we went to the store and I let him pick out the sheets and blankets. Then I saw a mattress, bed post and frame set that was only 400J and I bought that. When we got back, Cubellios was excited to see Cobra and even more when she saw the bed. The workers brought the set in and I directed them towards the empty guest room. After they left Cobra brought Cubellios's bed in there ( His bed is set against the wall) and placed it beside his bed. He also bought new clothes and fortunatley for him and me there was drawers already in his room. After he got settled in, it was already 12:00 a.m. " Good night Cobra." I said sleepily. He nodded. " G'night Lucy." He replied and went into his room. I got me a glass of milk and headed into my room and shut the light off.
