Producer Lee smiled enthusiastically. "Mr. Kim, you're finally here! Come and have a sit."

Just like everyone else, Y/N had turned towards the door. Halfway through her turn, producer Lee's words sunk in.

Her heart shook and, before she could fully digest his words, Taehyung had came into sight.

She could hear the crowd taking in deep breaths and speaking in low voices tinged with confusion.

"The king of movies is the second lead?"

Even though Taehyung started off as an actor, he was the CEO of Vante Entertainment right now.

The crowd stood up, following the producer's lead. It was no wonder the producer and director wanted to wait for him before ordering the food.

Taehyung wore his usual emotionless expression, not acknowledging the standing crowd. Taking large strides, he walked towards the only empty seat, sitting down.

Those who had worked with Taehyung were accustomed to his lack of expression.

Halfway through the dinner, the producer beside Y/N seemed to have recalled something. He turned his head and looked at her before shouting out,

"I almost forgot, everyone here has worked together one way or another and must be familiar with each other. Now, I would like to introduce our second female lead—"

The producer wanted to say her name, but he could only remember her surname. He stopped momentarily, then turned to look at Y/N.

His eyes somehow showing some sort of an extraordinary interest in her.

Anyone in the banquet hall would think that as some kind of a way to tease the new actress.

The atmosphere around the dining table started to turn suspicious. The crowd begun sneaking glimpses at Y/N.

The producer's introduction was sudden, not giving her any time to prepare, but she still stood up gracefully.

Nodding towards the table of people, she spoke in a clear voice, "Nice to meet you, I am Y/N. I hope we have a pleasant time working together, thank you."

The crowds were awed by her beauty. She was indeed a masterpiece created by the god.

But before she could get seated properly, she heard a sharp voice ringing, "Y/N must have really good luck to be able to work with Taehyung as a newbie."

Y/N was flustered and embarrassed, feeling painfully exposed in front of a large crowd.

They surely thought that she used her body.

Jisoo, her manager thought desperately, trying to find a way to salvage the awkward situation.

She sat there with her lashes lowered, trying desperately to stay calm, but her tightly clenched lips betrayed her.

He stared at her for about five seconds before looking away. He spoke coldly, frosting up the surroundings. "Jennie, there have always been a saying in the industry, don't you know? Luck is a form of your capability."

Taehyung seemed to be speaking casually, but it became apparent to the crowd that it was not luck but her acting skills that won Y/N the role. Taehyung's words also insinuated that Jennie was not capable enough to hold onto the role.

Even though Y/N didn't know why Taehyung had helped her out of the siege, she still felt warm and excited. Remaining calm, she lifted the corners of her lips into a smile, and in a humble voice, she said,

"There is a lot for me to learn, I hope I won't be a burden to the crew."

Taehyung's words held authority and were finite. Together with Y/N's humble voice, the crowd couldn't help but think favorably of her. In an instance, everyone started singing her praises before moving on to another topic.

Seated in a corner, Jennie still had a smile plastered on her face, but gradually, her face clouded.

She had wanted to put Y/N in a situation, but now, she had actually harmed herself!
