He said so. She wasn't moving, she wasn't breathing. Why were those three little words having that effect on her then?

"Nat?"

She took him out of her room, closed the door behind him and locked herself in.

"Nat?! Open up! What the hell's going on?"

She didn't do anything, she was petrified. That night, she didn't sleep. It was close to 3:00 in the morning when she decided to do the thing that had been going through her head since he said those words. She packed her bag, went out of the room and wrote a note to Dane, which she put on her bedside table. Then she left the house, in the middle of the night, just like that, without telling anyone.

The next day, everyone was looking for her, but it wasn't until Daneliya woke up that she warned everyone.

"Mama is with auntie," she had just said as she was eating breakfast.

Everyone was silent and had stopped their activities to stare at Dane. Dane stared at them.

"What? It was written on the note she left me."

"She left you a note?!" Almost choked Tony.

An hour later, everyone was in the cars headed for the canyon.

In a deadly silence, Natasha approached a blonde woman sitting with her legs in the air. The wind played with her hair, making it dance. The waves of the ocean, at the bottom of the cliff, were crashing against the rocks in an almost apocalyptic setting. The moon gently giving way to her twin, the sun. The redhead, always in silence, sits next to her sister.

"Dad sent you?" Ask for Yelena.

"He told me about it, but I came by myself."

The silence returned. It wasn't an awkward silence, no, it was a restful silence. Yelena was happy, happy to know she could trust her sister.

"Aren't you going to ask me why I'm here?" Asked Yelena with her eyes.

"I don't need or want to know," the redhead answered calmly.

"The desire? Then what the hell are you doing here?!" the offended blonde cried out.

"I don't want to know what's wrong with you because I know you'll tell me sooner or later. "

As she spoke, Natasha couldn't take her eyes off the waves. She loved this place, probably more than her Avenger family. She had lived and loved and laughed and cried so much on that cliff. She liked to tell herself that it was her place, her home, her sanctuary, her secret (not so secret) garden.

"What are you thinking?" Yelena came out, bringing Natasha back to dry land.

"To before. Back when you, me, Alek and Alexei used to come here to escape from the daily routine of our lives. "

"That was good. We had a good time, good memories. "

The spy smiles. Oh yes, they had a good time here. What do they like about coming here when they were all still together. But now it was over, she could tell. It was over and the thought of it ending made her nauseous. Thinking about her past with her "friends" made her nauseous. But now everything had changed and she was happy about it. Alek had died (it made her sad sometimes anyway. In spite of everything that had happened between them, she had loved him, they had seen his friends and he was a nice guy). Alexeï was in prison (yes, her ex-husband was in prison and he was happy about it), Katerina didn't talk to him anymore. And there she was, on that cliff, with her sister. While they were there, Natasha felt like the world was slowing down. She didn't mind the idea, far from it. She felt good, happy. Yet while everything was going her way, she couldn't help but think about Steve. Their night, his kisses and his hands on her body... She loved him, she was sure she did, but she was afraid. Afraid of other people's eyes, afraid of Daneliya's relationship, of Clint's and Tony's relationship. It was stupid, she was aware of it. And yet that fear wouldn't go away.

"We should go home," Yelena said, breaking the silence.

Natasha nodded and they walked to the car. Just as they were coming down the cliff, a car drove into their field of vision. Daneliya on the way out followed closely by the rest of the Avengers.

"Yelena. "

Ivan took his daughter in his arms.

"Nat, you'll never do that again! How could you do... "

But before Steve could finish his sentence, Natasha jumped up and kissed him.

This time she was sure, she loved him and nothing could keep them apart, ever. No matter how much they have to face each other, they will, because they'll be together, forever.
