IMPORTANT: Hey, everyone, Batmanwife13 here. I apologize for the long wait for another update, but here you go! If you all want to, follow my Instagram page storiestoldbykarrington. With this page, I'll be letting you all know when I'm updating a book or even publishing a new book here on Wattpad. I'll also have a place where you can ask me questions, etc. Really nervous about doing this, but I'm also excited!

   DICK'S POV

Even after everything that Elaine had told me, I still wanted to protect her. I had no idea how she ended up here, but I knew that my time with her could end any day now.
I didn't want her to leave because I adored her. I wanted to know what her life was like where she was from, but because I'd feel better knowing that she was going to be okay.

So, I decided to go see Barry myself.

He asked me,"Dick, what brings you here?"

Immediately, I said to Barry,"Elaine can't go back home. She has to stay here with me."

  Iris smiled before she said,"Aww."

Barry smiled himself, but he said to me,"I don't know if Elaine has already told you or not. It's not really-"

I cut Barry off by saying,"She told me everything, just not what her life was like where she came from."

Barry nodded before he replied,"Maybe she'll tell you if you just ask her. Because Elaine isn't from here, I've noticed things that could be a result of her and Zora being here. But normally, when things like this happen, whoever doesn't belong here has to return to their world. We don't even know what this will do to their health, let alone what will happen if she gets hurt. Dick, she has to go home."

"I don't want her to go. We can figure something out. I'm sure that we can find a way to where Zora and Elaine can stay."

Barry rested his hand on my shoulder, then he said,"Dick, you and I both know that we're not always in control of what happens and why they happen, but this is out of our hands. I don't want to risk Zora and Elaine staying here, and then something happening to them and their world. I say this not to just say it, but because I've experienced it firsthand of what it can do to the ones that you care about."

"I understand. It's what's best for Elaine and Zora."

   ELAINE'S POV

For the last few hours, Bruce and Jason have been helping me try to find Dominic. Neither one of them questioned me about it, yet I knew that they were curious about it.

So, as I tried to pinpoint where Dominic could be, I said,"Dominic is the key to me getting back home."

Jason joked by saying,"Grayson kick you out?"

I rolled my eyes before I said,"No, but I can't stay with him as much as I really want to. I'm not from here. I'm not the Elaine that you two are used to."

Jason double blinked, but then he laughed before he said,"That's ridiculous. There's no way that you're not from here. You're Elaine."

I shook my head before I told him,"It's not ridiculous. It's true. I'm from San Diego, California, and I've always just been a fan of all of you. None of you are real where I come from."

  Bruce just said,"All right."

  I said,"All right? That's it?"

Bruce shrugged, and then he said,"Elaine, nothing surprises me at this point. I believe you. You're not the same as the other Elaine, which is why it doesn't surprise me that you're someone entirely different."

Jason, on the other hand, didn't say anything. He just walked up the steps and disappeared.

Bruce said,"You can talk to him later. We need to find Dominic."

Once Bruce and I figured out where Dominic was, he drove me to Dominic's place. Bruce offered to come inside with me, but I told him that it would be best if he just stayed in the car. I walked up to the front door and knocked on it three times before the door opened.

I said,"I need to talk to you."

Dominic let me in before I sat down on his dirty couch.

He sat down across from me before he said,"I thought that you had to talk to Bane?"

Why was the other me talking to Bane?

Anyway, I said,"Look, I'm not your Elaine, and there's something that I need to get off my chest. You look just like my ex-boyfriend, and it bothers me even being in the same room as you right now. You have the same eyes, hair, nose, even down to the way that you look at me like I'm stupid, but I know that I'm not stupid. I know that I'm not crazy, and I need to say this to get free of you. You took a lot from me, and you enjoyed it. You put your hands on me. You talked to me like I was nothing, but I am something. I've been doing good since the last time that I saw you. I'm in a good place, and I don't need to be held back anymore. I don't need to be scared anymore. I'm happy, and I hope that you know that. I won't let you ruin that for me."

Instead of Dominic laughing or making fun of me, he just smiled at me. I thought that maybe the other me was here behind me somewhere, but it was just Dominic and me.

He looked me in the eyes as he said,"It's not often that people talk to me the way that you just did, but I get it. I do, and I listened. I'm glad that you said what you had to say because there's things that I need to say to people I've pushed away. Thank you for saying what you had to say."

I smiled back at him before Bruce called me.

I let him know that I was okay, and then I asked Dominic,"Can you maybe not mess with Dick anymore?"

Dominic nodded before he answered,"I won't."

I thanked him before Bruce drove me to Dick and I's place.

Before I got out of the car, I looked over at Bruce as I asked him,"When I leave, are you going to miss me?"

Bruce chuckled, but he answered,"Elaine, when you leave, I'm going to miss you."

"Thanks for the ride, Bruce. I better get inside."

I said my goodbye to Bruce before I walked into the house.
