Mazikeen

Never would I have thought.

Going back home wasn't something I never thought I'd do again. It held too many memories, buried deep down inside the roots of Mystic falls. Some good, some bad, and some way worse. But here I am, playing with the radio trying to find a decent song while Mitch drove.

Mystic Falls, Virginia was a small town that happened to have just about every supernatural creature passing through. Mitch and I grew up in Mystic falls when it all was just horse and buggies. Our father was a world class asshole and an abusive piece of shit. Our mother died when we were two. Our two older Brother's Damon and Stefan were alright until they decided to put their dicks inside Katherine Pierce. Katherine was a bad bitch; I would lie if I said I didn't admire her back then. Even if she was sleeping with both my brothers.

But anyway,

The only reason we are going back home was to help our dear brothers, the two grown ass men, with a protection detail. For what, they didn't explain. If it was up to me, I would've just stayed in New York in bed.

"For the last time, Maze. Pick a channel and leave it!" Mitch's voice knocked me out of my thoughts. He sounded very annoyed. I rolled my eyes leaving it on a channel that was playing sports. He gave me an annoyed look before reaching and turning the radio off. It was now silent. Something that I couldn't stand.

"You know I hate silence." I told him turning my head towards him.

"Deal with it." He mocked me using my words from earlier. I glared at him wanting nothing else than to put his ass to sleep and drive myself. 'You're not driving my baby ever again.' Mitch's words that he constantly repeated when I asked him to drive was heard in my head. I only put him to sleep one time. And I got us to our destination much faster than he could ever. I broke out of my thoughts and looked out the windshield. The welcome sign for Mystic falls caught my eye. I glared at it already regretting my decision on coming back. Mitch grabbed my shoulder lightly.

"Hey, it's going to be okay." Mitch spoke in a calm tone. I sighed feeling dread in my gut.

"And if it's not?" I asked looking back over at him raising my eyebrow. He glanced to me before focusing on the road again.

"Then we do like we had done long ago, we run." He said it like it was just the easiest thing in the world. I shook my head. I hated the idea of running again, it reminded me of Katherine. We ran once after the incident with Katherine and the two bone heads. I don't want to pull another Katherine.

"What if we can't run this time? What if-" I paused thinking about it all. "What if we are supposed to be here?"

"Listen, this isn't going to be like last time. It's going to be-"

"Regretful?" I cut in causing him to sigh.

"No matter what happens here, I will always protect you, Maze." Mitch promised in a serious tone while quickly glancing at me once more. "If that means running again, then so be it."

"You must be having Katherine fever with all this talk about running." I joked with a teasing grin. "I didn't know my brother was a pussy."

"Language." He joked. He giggles out of nowhere before smirking. "Also, I'm a man. I'm not a pussy, I eat pussy-"

"Shut up!" I yelled definitely not wanting to hear what he wanted to say.

"Just saying."
