You put up walls to keep them out and
You threw away the key then
You kept locked tight for the
Special someone to prove to you one day
You’ll be treated right and it came
You think much about when
The risk was too much and the
Walls built bring saddening comfort the risk
Was worth the jumping and to
Be loved and cared for wished to remain
You held on to him with such tight
Grips that nothing but you could take his in
Feelings of joy and a
Future thought gone like a tossed end of a cigarette bud
You take in all he is and was
Like knowing him more
Was the cure to end all your painful
Thoughts and so you breath him like air than
Lie in his touch with the
Feeling of safety and all because you took the risk
The feeling came immediately and it
Came with nothing but good it took
Your walls and broke them down to
Let your love blossom.
