The past month seemed like it was all one big blur. One moment, I was sitting in the garden catching butterflies and the next a strange women was telling me I was a witch!

"Miss Reid, I'm here to tell you something amazing. Yn Reid, you're a witch!"
Everything after that seemed unreal. A witch? What does that even mean?

"There's no way. You have the wrong person" I muttered while the women were talking about a school called Hogwarts.

"Gross name but okay," I thought.

The strange women started to talk about a little alley where we could go to get all my school books and robes. I wanted yo believe that it was all true but it all just seemed like a fever dream.

The next morning the women came back and offered to take my parents and me to the alley, called Diagon alley. They kindly agreed and we ended up going.

To say it was one of the coolest places ever, would be a major understatement. I didn't know what to expect, or who I would see. To be quite honest, I thought (only for a moment) that this strange woman was taking us to her secret lab to kills us. She wasn't.

We were in London when suddenly we turned into a pub that I didn't even notice was there. I don't think I would have even seen it if we didn't actually go in it.

When I first walked in, I couldn't see anything due to my eyes being used to the bright sunlight outside, unlike inside where it was dimly lit by candles. When my eyes finally adjusted I noticed who was also inside with us.

There were two men sitting at the bar. One was about to fall out of his chair when suddenly he was picked up by what I can only assume was magic, but I don't want to sound too cliche.

There was also a family of what looked like 100, but was actually like, eight, including the parents.

Before I could get a good look at the family, we headed into the back door which led to a tall brick wall.

"Er... Is this the alley?" I asked tugging gently on the woman's lilac robes. She laughed and pulled out her wand "Watch this" she said with a wink. She took the end of her wand and touched a brick, and then another one. It looked as if she was putting in a password.

It turns out that she indeed was.

When her wand pressed the last brick the whole wall opened up and revealed the alley. I think my jaw hit the dirty concrete (no joke). I tried to walk but I was starstruck. Buildings lined the narrow walkway, wizards and witches were walking up and down (the same narrow walkway), somehow avoiding the kids running from shop to shop. Any doubt that I had before was long gone. That man who was about to fall right off his stool saved himself with magic. That one time I cut my brothers hair just by looking at it, that was magic. When I broke my ankle two years back (that was me being clumsy) when I should've broken both of my legs, tHaT wAs MaGiC!

The first shop that caught my eye was called Ollivander's Wand Shop. The purple paint was peeling and the gold lettering was faded but it was the first place I wanted to go.

The woman (that I had forgotten about) cleared her throat "In order for you to buy anything you're going to need wizard money. Come, I have just the place..." And she walked straight to the middle of the walkway and pointed to a towering marble building. How I hadn't noticed it stumped me. It was literally right down the middle (and one of the prettiest buildings in the whole alley).

While we were walking towards it I noticed the same family from the pub. I also noticed the pair of twins they had and how obnoxious they were acting. The family looked as if they were also heading to the bank as well.
