CHAPTER ONE - THE TRAIN
I rolled my trolley over to the barrier and took a deep breath in.
"It's okay, just go at a run as she said. If I end up dying, that would be totally fine" I said under my breath. In reality, I would probably just end up breaking a lot of bones.
I gave my cart a push and started at the barrier. Every step I took, I got faster.
10 feet away.
Faster.
7 feet away.
Faster, like I said, if I do end up crashing I'll be fine. I break my bones like all the time.
4 feet away.
Let me just, brace for this incredible amount of pain real quick.
2 feet away.
It was nice having bones for these past eleven years.
I closed my eyes, not wanting to see how close I was, and waited for the hard surface to collide with my luggage (and myself), but instead painful bricks, I was met with a cold breeze and what looked like a very dark closet that disappeared after a second.
The little barrier was soon out of my mind when I took in my surroundings.
A scarlet steam engine was waiting next to a platform packed with people. A sign overhead said Hogwarts' Express, eleven o'clock. Harry looked behind him and saw a wrought-iron archway where the barrier had been, with the words Platform Nine and Three-Quarters on it, He had done it.
Smoke from the engine drifted over the heads of the chattering crowd, while cats of every colour wound here and there between their legs. Owls hooted to one another in a disgruntled sort of way over the babble and the scraping of heavy trunks.
The first few carriages were already packed with students, some hanging out of the window to talk to their families, some fighting over seats.
I decided to wait for the two twins because they seemed to know a whole lot more than me (spoiler alert, they do). The first twin came flying through the barrier, laughing and his brother also came flying out (also laughing).
"C'mon! Mum's mad at us!" one of them said grabbing my elbow and pulling me through the crowds of people "wait here, we'll help you with your trunk when we're done with ours." I nodded a yes and looked around at all the people around me. There was a black girl with her family and they looked happy and proud. I don't know if they knew she was witch, or if she was like me, but either way, I couldn't help but feel jealous. My parents were proud of me, but my brother Wyatt was their prized possession. He's the main reason they had to just drop me off.
He had a photoshoot with some fancy magazine and they had already been running late this morning. It hurt, but I guess I'm use to it.
"Good, your still here, c'mon grab the other side"
I grabbed the other side and slightly grunted because of the weight.
The twin muttered after every step we took, saying stuff like:
"and, step" or "Just a - little more".
We finally reached the compartment (which was his and his brothers) and put my trunk under the seat-bench.
I went to go thank him but he put up his finger, telling me to hold on. His brother (who was sitting on the other seat-bench) laughed and said: "I'm George, he's Fred. You can sit with us - ONLY if you tell us your name."
I scoffed "my - MY name? Looks like I'll be moving then, sitting elsewhere! Real unfortunate though, we could have been the best of friends, us three."
I was about to walk out of the compartment when suddenly Lee Jordan (my new 'best friend') came running at me.
"Yn! I found you! C'mon, let's sit." Lee said, pushing me back into the twins' compartment. I turned around and saw that both George and Fred were tapping their chins (at the same time, weirdly).
"So Yn's your name huh?" They said in unison. I rolled my eyes "So Gred and Forge are your names huh? a little weird if you ask me." Both of them made an 'O' shape with their mouths. "We like you, you're mean."
Lee introduced himself and the three of them (Lee, Fred and, George) instantly got along. Like they were literally best friends already.
After about two hours of laughing and playing games, Lee randomly asked me a question. "Hey, I've been thinking about this since we've met. How do you like, do anything without magic in the muggle world?" The twins were also looking at me with questioning stares.
My brain flooded with thoughts. Where do I even start? What do we have, that they don't? Or what do they have that we don't?
"Well, first. You guys need to tell me what its like in the magic world."
Fred was the first one to speak, talking about flying broomsticks and the sport that went along with it. He also talked about the games, the foods and the people.
"Pure-bloods, George, Lee and me. Our families have been wizards ever since our great, great, great, great - you get it was alive, and ever since, we've married other pure-bloods. Half-bloods are wizards or witches whose parents are one witch who's muggle/muggle-born/half-blood and the wizard is a, well wizard. Not that there's a difference in gender, it was just my example. And muggle-borns are, well you know what they are."
"That's, insane. I guess I'll start with sports then. We have football or soccer, and then another football, its confusing. There's also basketball, baseball, tennis, and so many other sports. Food is not that different from magic food, other than not having any of your awesome candy and people wise, everyone is equal in my opinion, but of course, there are people who think that they are superior or whatever. We call them racist because they think one's race defines them. We also have people who are sexist, they're people who think one gender is better than the other."
"We have people like that too, lotta pure-bloods hate muggle-borns," Lee said opening the compartment door to go change. "C'mon, Fred, George. We're nearly there."
CONTINUE...?
(this is so bad. my bad :( )
