FIVE MONTHS LATER....

Gordon was walking through the gates of Arkham Asylum, ignoring the slurs and hate speech from the trapped criminals. He went up to a guard.

"I'm here for Batgirl." Gordon said.

The guard had a look of sympathy and gestured to follow him.

Gordon then was in the contact room. It was a tense silent twenty minutes. He was fiddling his hands with stress and nervousness.

He heard a metal door open. He stood up to get a clear view.

It was Batgirl, still wearing her mask but in a white/gray jumpsuit. She was not even in handcuffs.

Gordon has a relieved smile and sat down slowly. Batgirl walked up and sat down too.

"It will be a short while until you are released Barbara." Gordon said.

Batgirl did not say anything and looked down with a frown.

"So the rumors were true..... They did not find evidence that I did those murders..." Batgirl admitted.

"You can stop protecting Robin you know. Even if you turn Robin in, he will still get the help he needs...." Gordon said.

".... No. I deserve this. I have to be punished for my carelessness. If it wasn't for me, none of this would've happened. Nightwing was right, I am a failure to the Bat family." Batgirl said.

".... But you are still my daughter Barbara." Gordon had tears in his eyes.

"I know. I'm sorry for making you worry dad. But I am not sorry for being responsible for my actions...." Barbara said.

Gordon nodded. He had a calm face. He never felt proud of his daughter.

"......So, how's Damian?" Barbara asked, as a concerned 'cousin'.

"He is getting way much better. Nightwing and Starfire are doing their best to make him happy. I even visited them too. Last week." Gordon said.

"Oh. Were they nice? They didn't hurt you right?" Batgirl looked up at her father.

Gordon chuckled.

"Well..... Nightwing wanted to say something to you too."

LAST WEEK.....

Gordon knocked on the apartment door where Richard and Koriand'r lived in. There was a muffled voice from Richard.

"Come in!"

Gordon walked in. The recovered couple looked at Gordon with a blank expression for a little while.

"Oh! Commissioner!" Richard broke the silence. Kory had a little frown face.

"Y-Yeah. Just came to stop by..." Gordon said, looking down. He then heard footsteps. He looked up to see Damian, in his school outfit. Damian had a little surprised face.

Richard then gestured Damian something with a smile. Damian nodded. He went up to Gordon.

"Here..." Damian looked away. He handed out a card.

It was an apology card, Gordon looked at Damian with a surprise. But at the same time, Gordon could see the dark scar during the time when Damian slit his wrists.

"I...I still believe that just a simple letter is a shitty excuse for an apology. I-I honestly wish to meet Barbara in Arkham." Damian said, looking away.
