Chapter 24

"Jennie?"

Lisa was feeling extreme pain in her head. She looked around, but it was pretty hard to analyze where she was. That was the first name that came into her mind when a girl came towards her. She couldn't see clearly due to the blur sight she had. "Baby, don't move to much." the girl standing beside her said. The pain made her stop moving, she was totally tired. A few minutes later, a doctor came and checked her.

"Close your eyes," the doctor said and she obliged. Jennie was just watching the girl with her arms crossed, anxious about how Lisa si feeling. She had many questions in her head.

'Does she remember me?'

'Does she remember about Dahyun coming here?'

Beside those scary feelings, she was over the moon, after the past four months she didn't hear Lisa's voice. "Alright. You're fine. The headache and the blur sight will slowly go away, it should be due to the long sleep you had." Lisa nodded. The doctor was hesitant, but then she asked. "Do you remember me?" Lisa looked at the doctor slowly, then she gave a small smile.

"Seulgi-ssi."

Seulgi smiled back and looked at Jennie, who looked back at her. Seulgi looked at Lisa and shoved her hand to the brunette. "How about her, do you remember her?" Lisa looked at Jennie and a big grin automatically rushed to her face making the butterflies in Jennie's stomach goes wild, excited and anxious to hear Lisa's answer. "She's my wife." Jennie bit her lips, suppressing herself from screaming in joy. Seulgi smiled, knowing how much that would effect Jennie since she had witnessed Jennie waiting for Lisa to say that.

"You're all good. You'll be staying here until you can walk again, then let's just say you owe me a good dinner for saving you?" Seulgi chuckled followed by Lisa. Lisa nodded and smiled genuinely at Seulgi. "Of course. I owe you this one, and I don't think dinner would be enough. But seriously thank you, Seul." Lisa said sincerely.

"Dinner is enough for me. Oh I should get going, I have an appointment soon. Take care, friend." Seulgi gave a tight hug to the Thai girl. "Good to hear your voice, Lis." Seulgi whispered before letting go. The doctor bowed at Jennie and stormed away.

"I missed you, love." Jennie sat at the bedside and held Lisa's hand. Lisa was just looking at Jennie, not planing to tear her eyes away. She indeed missed the brunette. "I've always been here, just couldn't talk to you." Lisa said. The brunette girl smiled as her eyes suddenly became teary, no words could express how much she missed the girl. Lisa gently cupped Jennie's cheeks.

"Don't cry, I don't like it." Lisa said as Jennie broke right in front of her. She frowned and pulled the older girl into a hug. "I'm here, you're here. We're fine now, don't cry." Lisa closed her eyes and patted the other girl's back. Jennie hugged her, giving the same tight hug she missed. "Please don't leave me hanging like that again. Promise me." Lisa pulled away from the hug and held Jennie's hands. She rubbed her thumbs at the back of the brunette's hand and made eye contact.

"I promise. From now on, I'll keep you safe in my arms. No one will ever hurt you, and me." They smiled at each other. Then Jennie remembered about Jisoo and Rosé. She gave a peck at Lisa's cheek and got her phone. Lisa was just looking at her, confused. Jennie dialed Jisoo's number and looked at Lisa.

"Jisoo.... What? No no, I want to tell you something.... Lisa's awake." A few seconds and Jennie scrunched her face as she pulled the phone away from her ear. Lisa chuckled, knowing that Jisoo must have shouted in shock. Jennie put the phone back to her ear and frowned.

"Yah! Don't shout like that! Get yourself back to the hospital now.... forget the food, we'll grab that later." Jennie smiled at Lisa as she hanged up. "They said they're on their way." Lisa nodded. She moved a bit to the edge, making a small space and called Jennie. She wanted to rest with the girl. Jennie wasted no times and quickly laid beside her, hugging her tightly. The two sighed in content and closed their eyes. "Can't wait to start this life with you in peace." Lisa said making Jennie smile. "Me too, love. Me too."

"Aren't you going to tell me about everything I missed?" Lisa asked. Jennie snuggled closer and they cuddled on the small bed, talking about everything Lisa missed.

The door opened slightly, making the two lovers looked at it, Jennie stood up and smiled. "Oh my god Lisa!" Rosé threw her bag on the sofa and stormed towards the lying girl, pulling her into a tight hug. "Ouch ouch!" Lisa winced making Rosé's eyes widened and pulled away. Jennie's face turned into a worried one. "She's still in recovery, let's be careful." Jennie reminded the two. Rosé smiled again, "We missed you."

"I missed you guys too." Lisa looked at Jisoo who saluted at her making her chuckle. "Soon when I'm better, let's have a dinner together with the others. My treat."

"Chicken?" Jennie and Rosé frowned at Jisoo but the the girl shrugged and looked at Lisa with a big grin. Lisa chuckled, she always love it when they tease each other. "It's a must." Jisoo fist bumped in the air and winked at Rosé who glared at her and snorted. "Aigooo you guys are already married but seems like you just got into a relationship." Lisa laughed but she felt the other's silence. She stopped and looked at them, having serious expression. "What's wrong?"

"Didn't I tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"The weeding was delayed two months ago." Lisa's face turned into a frown. "How long have I been sleeping?" Lisa asked making the three bit their lips. Jennie's heart was beating fast.

She went towards the girl and held her hand. "You've been in coma, Lisa. You've been lying here for five months already." eyebrows raised, Lisa's lips formed into an O. She nodded and slowly, her body relaxed.

"I went there alone, and made this mess." Jennie looked at her with her disapproving look. Jisoo sat at the other bedside and patted Lisa's head. "You didn't make this mess, stop thinking and get some rest. You can't get stress."

"Why did you guys delay the wedding?"

"We want to have you there. We made a promise right? I'll come to yours and you'll come to mine." Rosé showed her pinky next to her smiling face. Lisa smiled slightly and gave Jisoo an apologetic look. "Stop doing that petty look and promise me you'll get better."

"Fine fine, I promise." they laughed together. After two hours of talkimg, the visiting hours ended. Only one family related person can stay. The nurse already called them, so they waved their goodbye to Lisa and Jennie.

"Are you hungry?" Jennie asked the girl who had her eyes close, feeling sleepy. "Yeah but let's just eat tomorrow. I'm sleepy." Jennie chuckled as she slid beside Lisa, snuggling closer to her lover. "Still sleepy? Let's sleep then." Lisa gave a long sweet kiss to the brunette's forehead and drifted off to sleep.
