Bonus Chapter! - Sero's Cupid Job Is Kinda Depressing

Sero is a good friend.

Always is and always will be.

Sero likes being a good friend, but after helping all his friends and crushes get togehter with the ones they loved, he felt lonely. Every time he was blamed for the unrequited feelings, he couldn't help but blame himself too. So, once high school started and he moved further from his old home, he decided to do his cupid work more undercover.

His first job was Hagakure Tooru and Ojirou Mashirao, but they didn't last. Hagakure finally identified herself as lesbian and Ojirou finally identified himself as an aromantic, but Sero felt bad that they had to figure it out because of a failed relationship. Sero forgot to sleep that night they broke up, drowned in guilt.

His second job was far more succesful. Jirou Kyoka, Ashido Mina and Yaoyorozu Momo just needed that little push and they became the most PDA couple in Yueei.

Sero continued working his way through his class and other classes, setting everyone up together. Some failed, most didn't. Sero found himself drawn to Todoroki Shouto the most though. Todoroki had that hint of mystery, but that soft and sweet side once you got to know him better. Sero tried for months and couldn't help but feel jealous of Midoriya Izuku. He easily got Todoroki to warm up to him. Sero began observing Todoroki a lot more and found himself falling. He fell deep, still feeling the ruins of his broken heart in his chest, weakly beating whenever Todoroki even looked his way. He was hopeless. Of course, with all that observing, Sero noticed the signs of falling in love. The way Todoroki tried to always include himself in everything Midoriya did with his friends, the way Tdorooki looked at Midoriya.

Todoroki fell in love with Midoriya.

The realizaiton hit Sero like a truck, except that truck had been following him for a long time and Sero couldn't tell if it was going to run him over or if he was just paranoid. He cried for hours, not wanting to believe it, but he knew it was true, so one winter night, Sero approached Todoroki and got the truth out of him. They bonded, Sero helping Todoroki accept his feelings.

"I know it's hard accepting your feelings. I sometimes do too, but you gotta remember that you eventually move on."

Sero hoped his words were true. He was 20 now, still not over that 'little crush'.

"Just don't be too late."

Sero remembers saying, leaving out the 'like me'. Sero always had that guilt in the back of his mind.

If he had just approached Todoroki sooner, maybe they'd be a happy couple now. Of course, that was just wishful thinking. It got him nowhere. Regardless of Sero's feelings, he helped Todoroki and Midoriya get together and be a happy couple. Seeing them together was sickening to him, but he was a good friend.
