Chapter 5 - Again And Again And Again (It's not that relevant to the plot either, BUT I wanted to write this)

Asui stood in front of a cafe. Uraraka was 20 minutes late. Asui knew Uraraka wouldn't come, but she stood there for another 40 minutes.

She waited until her knees gave out and she was on the ground.

She waited until her toes and fingers were numb from the cold.

She waited until it was dark and water poured from the sky.

She waited until she couldn't remember why she was waiting anymore.

Asui checked the time on her phone. She had been waiting for 7 hours already. Asui noticed Tokoyami and she tried to reach out and beg for him to stay with her like he always did when she was ditched by Uraraka, but nothing came out. Her hands were too numb to move and her throat was dry from crying her makeup away.

Tokoyami noticed the weeping dark haired woman and walked up to her.

"Did Uraraka leave you alone again?" Tokoyami's soft and calm voice soothed Asui. She stopped crying and slowly nodded. Tokoyami knew not to ask or to talk about it and just helped her up.

"How long have you been sitting here?" Tokoyami asked. Asui tried to talk, but she couldn't form words, so she just wrote on her phone.

'7 hours.' Tokoyami's eyes widened and laid his jacket on her. Once Asui had put the jacket on, he picked her up bridal style.

"Should we tell Mezo?" Asui shook her head, not wanting anyone to know. Tokoyami already disliked Uraraka's forgetfulness. She'd just forget to meet up with Asui, and Asui was so lovesick she'd convince herself that Uraraka would eventually come. Uraraka would sometimes just up and leave Asui at a party or get together, because she was bored and thought Asui wouldn't mind.

Tokoyami nodded, indicating that he wouldn't tell a soul. He'd promised it before in high school, so he wouldn't break the promise now.

On the walk to his apartment, Tokoyami remembered the first time Uraraka forgot to meet up with Asui.

Asui had been waiting in the rain for hours, until Tokoyami found her and took her home. His family welcomed her with open arms and she stayed the night. Asui ended up falling ill the next day, but Tokoyami was glad he had found her when he did. She was on the verge of falling asleep when he got there.

"I'm home, Mez!" Tokoyami called out. There was rustling in the kitchen, letting Tokoyami know where Shouji, his boyfriend, was. "Tsu's here too." Tokoyami informed.

"Does she plan on eating here?" Shouji called from the kitchen, already knowing Asui would stay the night.

"Yes." Tokoyami answered for Asui, knowing she hadn't eaten. Asui tried to protest, not wanting to ruin their alone time, but Tokoyami assured they have a lot of it already. Tokoyami walked Asui into his bathroom.

The bathroom had dark grey walls and a black tile floor. There was a white bath with a black shower curtain, a white toilet, cupboards and cabinets. One cupboard had a sink built into it. Tokoyami set Asui sitting on the toilet lid and got a towel from a cabinet and soaked it in hot water.

"Hold this." Tokoyami instructed and handed the towel to Asui. Asui did as told and held the warm towel in her hands. She started to feel them again and she moved around her fingers.

"Take a bath. Be in there for however long you need." Tokoyami exited the bathroom. Asui left the towel in the sink, washed the makeup off her face and filled the tub. She stripped off her clothes and had a hot bath. After 42 minutes of laying there, her thoughts running wild, there was a knock on the door.

"Are you finished?" Tokoyami asked through the door. Asui nodded, before realizing Tokoyami couldn't see her.

"Yes." She croaked out, her throat still dry. Tokoyami opened the door and sighed of relief when he noticed the shower curtain was closed. He set clothes on the toilet lid and left the bathroom, closing the door behind him. A few minutes later, Asui left the tub and emptied it. She grabbed a white towel from a cabinet and dried herself off. Asui changed into the clothes Tokoyami gave her. An oversized, white, T-shirt and black shorts. Drying her hair and putting it up into a messy ponytail left her semi happy with her appearance. Thanks to the T-shirt, you couldn't see her body shape. The T-shirt ended at her knees and only her legs and arms showed. The messy ponytail didn't suit her at all, at least that's what she thought. Asui left the bathroom, feeling better than before.

Asui sat down on Tokoyami's and Shouji's black couch, leaning onto Tokoyami, who was already sitting there.

"Fumi, do you think Ochako is mad at me?" Asui asked, the tears already pooling at her eyes.

"No, she's just forgetful. Why would you think that?" Tokoyami replied, leaning back into Asui.

"She acted weird after we left Fuyumi's house last week." Asui let the tears drop, not bothering to wipe them. Tokoyami thought about what Asui had told him last week's Sunday.

"I agree. From what you told me, she was acting weird, but I don't think she hates you, quite the opposite really." Asui's face burned and she wiped the tears away.

"Don't get my hopes up." Asui mumbled and Tokoyami apologized. 10 minutes of comfortable silence later, the two were called for late dinner.

Asui's mouth watered at the sight. There was a bowl of katsudon on the table. The pork was evenly cut and there was white rice and sauce under it and golden-brown taiyaki beside the pork. Asui bit into the taiyaki and it was filled with chocolate. On a plate beisde the bowl, there was 10 onigiris or rice balls, just for Asui. The rice balls were wrapped in seaweed. Beside the onigiris there was rice and curry on the same plate. The curry was still hot and steaming. In another plate there was omurice. The golden rice was wrapeed in egg and ketchup was squeezed onto it in squiggly lines.

"You made all this?!" Asui stared at the food, mouth agape. Shouji nodded, smilling from the compliment(?). Shouji was extremly buff, but it was no surprise, since he was a bodybuilder. His turquoise mask that he used in high school was replaced by a white surgical mask, before being removed completely. Shouji used to suffer from an illness since birth, but a cure had been found and now Shouji takes pills. Shouji's white hair still covered one eye and was the same length, never growing.

The three young adults ate together in the dimly lit dining area and talked until they almost collapsed from exhaustion. Asui slept on the couch, ignoring Tokoyami's pleas to sleep somewhere more comfortable.

'Maybe she feels the same.'

(A/N: Please remember that I literally don't know how any of the foods I mentioned are made and I just googled what they looked like)
