Chapter 5: The Invitation

I continued looking at my phone trying to understand if this is real or not. I bet it was Elon.

Okay, he was fast.

I was wondering if I should text him back or just leave it like that. I finally decided to text him. 

(Y/N): It wasn't hard, right?

I chuckled and left my phone on the side. I looked at the time and saw that it was still early and decided to do some work.

I went to my home office and started to read the files from the folders I took from the hospital. I wrote some plans for the surgeries I wanted to do and checked some emails that I've missed today. It was already 2 and my eyes felt heavy.

I went to the kitchen to grab my phone and made my way to the bedroom. I saw that Elon responded to my message and it wasn't only one message, but three. As I was walking I was smiling like an idiot. 

You are falling for him, aren't you? 

+1 985-567-001 : Not at all ;) 

 +1 985-567-001 : Do you have any plans tomorrow after work? 

+1 985-567-001 : Excuse me, nevermind :) 

What does he mean by plans after work? My only plans after work are to sleep, which is the only thing I can do when I finish at 10. Plus he said 'nevermind', right?

No, he is giving up too fast. I decided to answer his question.I was curious.

(Y/N): If you have something in mind that deserves to tore my schedule apart 

So what? It's going to happen what is meant to be.

I shrugged and clicked the send button and I saved his phone number in my contacts. For my surprise he texted me back in seconds.

Was he waiting for me to answer?

Elon : I think it's worth it ;)

Elon: I was thinking we can go to my office and talk about you partnering with Neuralink?

I smiled at the phone. I couldn't take that offer down. I was interested in BMI's and had the luck  back in the time to meet with people who were brilliant in this field. I can't believe he won me with this.I opened the schedule on my phone and checked when was my last appointment with patient.

(Y/N): I can't make it earlier than 9, sorry :)

Elon: It's perfect! Like that nobody will bother us.

Bother us?

I was just hoping he would leave it for another day. I don't know how can I make it in one room, together, with him. 

Do you know what (Y/N), fuck it. 

(Y/N): Great! Can you give me the address? 

Elon: I will send a car to pick you up from the hospital 

(Y/N): I will come by myself. Thank you :)

Elon: You are so stubborn(Y/N), I will send it in a sec 

I laid down on my bed and wrapped myself in the blankets.

I woke up by the bright sunlight that was running softly through my face. The birds were chirping, so as my alarm. I turned it off and looked at my phone and saw that Elon has send me the address of his office. I looked at the time and it was 5:30 in the morning. I sighed in relief. I was so happy i got up from my first alarm. 

I stood up, stretched and made my way to the kitchen. I still haven't fully opened my eyes and went straight for the coffee machine. I took my cup of coffee and sat on the table. I was so happy that I've chosen such a quiet neighbourhood, it was almost outside L.A. I liked how the quietness was making me feel calm and rested.

I opened my laptop to check on some new articles on the Biotech magazine and started writing new information on my research. And yet again, the thoughts of Elon Musk came to my head. How can he be so intelligent and attractive at the same time? And he was so kind and nice. I still can't get that. Everybody has it's own dark sides, but I couldn't see his. I was lucky that I caught his attention. 

I smiled to myself as I took my last sip of my coffee. I got ready and went to the closet to pick some other clothes for tonight. I choose a grey short skirt and a loose white t-shirt, which I was planing on tucking into my skirt. I've put on my watch and earrings, and went out, ready for another day at the hospital.
