SMILE was plastered in her face as she takes her step towards her new school- Charles High- known as the most popular and beautiful school. She's new in her school, no wonder all gazes are upon her. Gossips occupied the surrounding as she continue to take her way.
"Bago?"
"Bago ata"
"Kyaaaahh ang ganda niya!"
"Bagong chicks!"
A shy smile is slowly forming in her face, not that she's not used to it, but it reminds of her tragic nightmares of her past. She continued to her destination.
Her name is Kira by the way, Shakira Fernandez.
A Kira whom once a jolly, active, friendly, and a student whom everyone admires, but changed in just one snap of a nightmare.
She doesn't change that much, she just learned how to defend her self. She's still the soft-hearted, kind, responsible, and a great role model to everyone. Yeah, that's Kira.
She's now a grade 11 student- STEM.
She was about to enter her classroom when someone called her name at her back, so she dared to look back to see who it was.
"Shak!," someone shouted.
Oh! It's Mavis! Her childhood bestfriend!
"Vy!," she joyously responded and gave her a tight hug.
"Mabuti't dito mo napagpasiyahang mag-aral!," saad ni Mavy nang makabitaw na siya sa yakap.
Kira smiled bitterly because of what Mavy said.
"You know, in some reason.," saad nito at uniwas ng tingin.
Kira can't still get over of her past. It's a tragic past, so what would you expect? Her past is still fresh and still it's hard for Kira to move on to it.
"Halika ka na, pasok na tayo.," saad ni Mavy at tango lang ang naisagot ni Kira.
Again, gossip filled the classroom as Kira and Mavis entered the room.
"Oyy pre, chicks!"
"Yay may bagong kaklase!"
"Oy kakilala pala ni Mavy, baka naman"
Nagsimula na silang nag-ingayan pero bigla na lang silang tumahimik nang nagsalita si Mavy.
"Hi classmates! Good morning! Eto pala si Kira..." - sabay turo kay Kira. "... our new classmate!," pakilala ni Mavis.
At nagsimula na naman silang nag-ingayan pero sandali lang yun, dahil agad silang tumahimik nang nagsalita si Kira.
"H-hi, p-pleased to meet you all," nahihiyang saad nito.
"Same"
"Hello!"
"Hi din sa'yo!"
Tugon naman ng iba.
Hinatak na siya ni Mavy sa may dalawang bakanteng upuan at doon sila umupo.
"Aren't you supposed to be excited?," tanong ni Mavy dito.
"Na-naninibago lang. Masasanay din ako.," saad naman nito. Pilit na ngumiti si Mavy at nag-nod.
Nag-usap muna sila pero sandali lang iyon dahil may pumasok na rin na guro and bet, it's their adviser.
"So good morning everyone. I guess kilala niyo na rin ako. But again, I'm Miss Chui, your adviser.," saad nito kaya agad silang nagsitayuan at bumati ng magandang umaga. "So let's start our Introduction!"
Isa-isa silang tumayo at nagpakilala hanggang sa umabot ito kay Kira.
"I'm Shakira Fernandez, Kira or Shak for short., " saad nito.
"Ano name niya sa fb?"
"Gandang pangalan, parang tsamina-mina eh eh lang!"
"Basta akin lang siya"
Rinig niyang sabi ng mga tukmol niyang kaklase.
"I'm Mavis Tranquillo, Mavy or Vy for short!," pakilala naman ni Mavy.
Natapos ang introduction nila. Ang ilan ay magkakilala na pero meron ring bago tulad na lamang ni Kira.
"So, nice to meet you all! I assure you that I will do my best to be a good adviser to all of you!," galak na saad ni Ms. Chui.
So after a little introduction, hindi muna sila nagdiscuss. They started their first meeting by get-to-know-each-other, a little enjoyment and for breaking the ice between them.
Time flied so fast.
They all stood up and bid their goodbyes in their adviser as their bell rang. At alam nilang may masusunod pang ibang magiging guro nila as of their schedule.
Pero bago iyon, hinatak ni Mavy si Kira papuntang cafeteria para sa snacks muna. Akmang papasok na sila pero bigla na lang may tumawag kay Kira kaya sandali siyang lumingon.
Papalapit sa kanila ang isang lalaking maputi, matangos ang ilong, mapula ang labi, mga kayumanggi niyang mata, at may suot-suot itong eyeglass na tumiyerno naman sa blonde niyang buhok, in short he's so cool.
"Hi Kira, I'm Mikko pala. Kung naalala mo, kaklase mo ko.," pakilala nito at inilahad ang kamay sabay ngiti ng matamis.
Sandaling napa-ohh si Kira. Sinuklian naman niya ito ang mga ngiti at tinanggap ang mga kamay para sa pagkakamustahanay.
"I hope I can spend more time with you in order to know you more pero alam ko namang busy pa tayo kaya, next time na lang. Sige bye muna sa ngayon.," saad nito. They bid their goodbyes kaya bumalik ni si Mikko sa grupo niya.
Nagpatuloy ng pumasok si Kira at Mavy sa Café. As usual, marami ng tao lalo na't first day of school.
"Marami agad nagkakagusto sa'yo huh!," saad ni Mavy pero sa paraang nang-iinis
"Pfft. No time for boys," walang ganang tugon ni Kira.
Agad na tumungo sila sa counter at umorder. Coke in can and a slice of cake is enough. Pagtapos mag-order
umupo sila sa may bakanteng table.
Akmang uupo na si Kira nang biglang may humila sa kaniyang upuan dahilan para mapaupo siya sa sahig.
Gasps and laughs filled the cafe. Galit na tumayo si Kira at...
"WHO THE HELL DID IT!"
All fingers are pointing to the same person. She then turned her gaze to him and saw a man standing with a poker face, brown eyes, red lips, pointy nose, wavy long hair that complements his brownish skin tone, in short- to a PRETTY EV'L GUY.
"His name is Dave Deltran by the way.," bulong ni Mavy dito.
