"Jimin." Jungkook leans against the brown door of the apartment. "Open the door."
"No." A defiant voice mumbles behind the door.
Jungkook groans as he jiggles the locked doorknob. He puts himself in a position whereas his right foot is raised, ready to kick the door open.
"I'll kick it down." He warns.
The lock reluctantly clicks open, Jimin's fluffy hair and puffy eyes greet Jungkook. The younger drops his raised foot.
"You look like beautiful shit." Jungkook smiles.
"Go home." Jimin glares as he attempts to shut the door. Jungkook catches the door before it can close.
"You're not okay." Jungkook stares at Jimin through the crack of the door. He watches as a tear rolls down Jimin's cheek.
"I am." Jimin wipes his cheek.
The sight of Jimin crying gnaws on Jungkook's inner spite. He hates seeing Jimin crying because of him. He was the one stupid enough to post their relationship status.
It's his fault that Jimin is crying.
Jungkook slips his way into Jimin's apartment.
"No, Jungkook. Go." Jimin starts to back away.
Jungkook grabs Jimin's arm and pulls him to his chest. Even though Jimin pushes him and flails in his arms, Jungkook doesn't let up. Eventually, Jimin gives up on resisting and ends up sobbing into Jungkook's shoulder.
Jungkook squeezes Jimin's slim waist and caresses his soft hair as tears soak his jacket. He places a soft kiss on Jimin's cold forehead.
"I'm sorry." Jungkook whispers softly.
"It's not your fault." Jimin sniffles and wipes his face as he pulls away from Jungkook's chest.
Jungkook uses his own hand to help wipe the tears off of Jimin's face. Just staring at him alone is enough to make Jungkook happy.
He wasn't lying to the other guys; Jimin is special.
Maybe the fact that Jimin is a mystery himself or how unbelievably cute Jimin is or how wholesome his laughs sound or how bright he looks when he smiles. There were multiple things that Jungkook loved about Jimin and he hates that the rest of the world can't experience the Jimin he experiences.
Jimin's right. It's not Jungkook's fault. Jungkook just wanted to tell the world that this boy is 'mine'. And nothing can make him change his mind.
"I love you." Jungkook caresses Jimin's smooth cheek. Jimin smiles wearily.
"Happy birthday."
Jungkook kisses Jimin to congratulate the older's 23rd birthday.
Their lips meld together and they dance as smoothly as Jungkook does in his dancing class. Jimin's back connects with the wall as Jungkook leans his body against his elder.
"Jung-ngh!" Jimin's words are swallowed by Jungkook's mouth. Jimin is sucked into a void of bliss as he experiences the full energy of Jungkook's lips.
The kiss breaks, leaving the two breathless.
"How's that for a birthday gift?" Jungkook smirks as he admires someone's cute, flushed face.
"Creep." Jimin shoves Jungkook's face away with his hands and walks out of the foyer of his apartment.
"Oh c'mon!" Jungkook groans as he follows after him. "I'm not a creep!"
"Yes, you are!" Jimin throws a pillow at Jungkook. Jungkook catches it easily.
A knowing smirk settles on his face as he sprints towards Jimin. Jimin grabs a pillow and runs away from the chasing man.
The two (grown) men have a pillow fight until they can't laugh anymore. Jungkook even tickles Jimin until he pleads guilty for calling Jungkook a 'creep'.
Now, they're sitting on the balcony admiring the starry night sky.
"Look." Jimin points to the sky. "You're the little star, I'm the big star."
"Flip that. I'm the big star."
"Foreshadowing of your career?" Jimin squints his eyes.
"Sure and my hand is ten times bigger than yours." Jungkook gets flipped off by a small finger.
They laugh as the night continues to wane. Jungkook stares at Jimin as his hair flutters in the wind and his eyes twinkle underneath the stars.
He rests his hand on a fluffy head.
"You're worth it." Jungkook smiles.
Jimin's eyes begin to water as he stares at the smiling fool. Jungkook pulls Jimin's body close to his and they hold each other tightly.
And to Jungkook, this--right here--is perfect.
