My Little Beast Boy ( Sett x Male Reader )

The Start

    The sun beams down onto you. The winds of the dry Mojave desert blow your hair around, causing you to have to move the strands out of your face. You are packing the last few items you need for your big move to New Vegas. You have always dreamed of seeing the great lights that you have only ever seen at a distance from good springs. You take a deep breath, the semi-toxic air fills your lungs.

" Today is the day.. " you mumble nervously.                                                                  

      You are used to being alone, so the thought of being alone in the Mojave is not what scares you..it is The countless raider gangs that roam the Mojave and prey on the innocent that makes you nervous. You shake your head lightly, getting those thought out of your head and grabbing your bags. You begin to walk away from GoodSprings finally leaving your past behind you, but get stopped as you hear someone say your name.

" (Y/n) " you hear a mans voice from behind you.

    You slowly turn around to see Sett, The Beast Boy Bastard standing there. Sett has been a childhood bully of your's. Him and a group of other punks used to pick on you simply because of your sexuality. Despite that, You did not hate Sett, but you definitely did not care to be around him.

" Yes? " you question, clearly annoyed.

" i wanna come with you. " he  says sternly, puffing his muscular chest out a bit.

You look at him, rolling your eyes " Why? we have never been close, hell we have never even liked each-other.. i really don't see your point in coming, oh wait let me guess, you want to come just to pick on me the whole time.  " you spat.

Sett looks you in the eyes

" I don't care what you say (Y/n), i know i haven't always been the nicest or friendliest person to you, and i am sorry for that, i really don't know how many times i have to apologize.. " He takes a breath " But i cant let you go alone. Your too fragile, the Mojave will eat you up.. and not in a good way. " He jokes. 

You roll your eyes again " Sett, you out of ALL people are NOT coming. "

Sett grunts " I am coming. " He says picking up two suitcases he had by his side.

You look at him " Sett i said n- " you get cut off by sett walking past you, taking a hold of your hand and pulling you alone behind him

" Here we go! off to New Vegas! " He shouts cheerily.

* time skip, 2 hours after you and Sett left Good-springs *

     The sun was beginning to set over the horizon. The sky was turning an amazing purple/pinkish color with the clouds sprinkled on top. The wind had since picked up a bit since you had been in Good-springs. You and Sett have stopped traveling for the day, setting up camp on a hill with a clear view of New Vegas off in the distance. 

     You sit on a big yellow knitted blanket you had layed out on the ground to stop your pants from getting dirty. The wind blows onto you, causing you to shiver, wrapping your arms around yourself tightly.

" You cold? " Sett questions.

" Kind of.. " You answer.

Sett reaches into his old and damaged brown suitcase he had with him, pulling out a red blanket.

" Here, use this. its really comfy too. I think you will like it! " He smiles, handing the blanket over to you.

You take it slowly, throwing it over your shoulders. " Why.. Why are you being so nice to me all of a sudden? " You question.

Sett takes a deep breath, turning to look at you. " Listen.. i am sorry for everything i have done. i feel awful for the way i have treated you over the years.. and because of that, i couldn't just watch you walk away and be all alone out here.  so, i packed up once i heard you were planning on leaving. " He explains

You look over at him " Thank you Sett. " you say kindly, looking him in the face.

Sett smiles lightly " Hey, look. " He points to New Vegas off into the distance.

You move closer to Sett to look at New Vegas in the distance.

" It is so beautiful Sett.. " You mumble in amazement. 

Sett looks down at you, watching your eyes sparkle in the moonlight as a bright smile crosses your face while looking at New Vegas. He moves a bit closer to you. You feel Sett's body heat as he closes the gap that was in-between you too.

" We will be there soon (Y/n), I promise. " He smiles down at you.
You smile still looking at New Vegas. Sett puts his arm around your shoulder slowly, pulling you closer to him.

" what-.. what are you doing? " You question.

" I'm trying to keep you warm. " He explains.

You smile lightly " well you shouldn't be cold ether. " you say softly, throwing the blanket you had on yourself around the both of you.

Sett smiles " Thank you (y/n). " He says softly.

You nod slowly yawning a bit, placing your head on Sett's shoulder. Sett Smiles to himself.

" goodnight (y/n). " he whispers softly, placing his head on top of yours, slowly closing his eyes.
