Chapter 8

A week later......

It's been a week and juju nor Jules has gotten better. All they been doing is staying in the house mourning the death of their grandmother. I have been there for her most days but at the moment I'm dealing with my own bullshit as usual.
You alright? Trey asked me. We are currently sitting in my room listening to music and I'm lost in my thoughts. My mother has yet to come on and it's going on three weeks now. She has been gone before but never this long. I got a job after school at the Panda Express just so that I can keep the lights on and a little food in the fridge for us.
Yeah I'm alright I just don't know what to do trey,  she don't even care about us. Haven't called or came to check on us at all. I said with tears threating to fall from my eyes.
It's gone be alright kassi I got y'all, I told you, he grabbed my face looking into my eyes. He is so fucking beautiful. Just looking at him makes me feel at ease.  I know trey but that's not your place she is our mother that's her job to take care of us. I said in a low shaky voice. 
Regardless , I said I got you. Trey said and kissed my nose releasing my face and getting back comfortable on the bed. I just sat there trying to read him. I wanted to be inside of his head and k ow what his thoughts were. He was always so mysterious and hard to read.  Lose in my trance I hear a scream.

"Kassiiiiiiii!!!!!" My sister burst through my door her face read of fear. Kassi its mama, she's bleeding. Me and Trey rushed down the stairs and the sight we saw was horrific. 
Mamaaaa!!!! I ran to her as she laid on the floor. What happened to you!!!  What happened!!!!! Mamaaaa! . I screamed over and over holding her on my lap. She was breathing but her eyes were closed. She had bruises all over her. A black eye that was swollen shut and her mouth and nose  were bleeding bad. Trey !!! Call 911!!!  Not knowing he had the phone to his ear already speaking to them

Mama!!! Please wake up , wake up I continued to scream.  Lani was in a corner silent watching the scene.  Time must have moved faster then it did in my head cause it felt like a long five mins had passed and the EMT people were trying to get me from holding on to my mama. 
Kassi , kassi listen you gotta let her go so they can treat her. A soft familiar voice said to me. I knew it was trey so I let her go and shielded myself in his arms. 
A officer walked over to us and began to drill off questions. I was so dazed that I saw him talking but heard no words. I felt light headed and then everything just went black.

Kassi you gotta wake up mama you gotta get up. I could hear Trey's voice as I opened my eyes and was surrounded by EMT persons and Trey.

She should be fine she just passed out, a lady spoke to him as I regain conciousness. Just make sure she eats something and gets hydrated they said on the way out of the door. The house was quiet now and just us three were. There
Lani ! You ok I said in a groggy voice.
Yeah they said mama just got hurt bad but she should be ok. Lani said now sitting on the couch with puffy eyes.
Yeah, they said she was beat up but also was unresponsive because of a possible OD.  Trey said helping me from the floor.
Lani what happened when she came , I asked her in a shaky voice
I don't know, I heard a car outside and a loud knock on the door so I went to see who it was to find her laid on the porch. I drug her in the house and the car sped off.  Lani said you can hear the hurt in her voice. I never wanted her to see mama like this. Over the years I've hidden many OD situations from her. I was there to help my mama when she would come home high off her ass and OD in the bathroom. But she never got beat  like this before.
"Knock knock".  Kassii!!!!!  Let me in , it was juju at the door. Trey went and opened the door and juju ran in with julez walking behind her. Kassi what happened the whole neighborhood seen the cops and  paramedics outside. Juju said seeming out of breath.
It was mama,  Lani found her on the porch unconscious and beat up. I said also breathless. Oh my God kassi is she ok, are you ok, what y'all gone do, what are we all going to do. Why is this fucking happening to us. Juju said tears coming out her eyes, I knew she was still mourning and her emotions were all over the place.
Juju calm down baby we gone be fine , I said grabbing her face and hugging her as she fell into me.
We are going to be ok, all of us I looked around at everyone and saw Lani was also crying.
Lani it's ok baby it's ok stop crying, o said still holding juju on the floor.

Kas, it's not kas , I fucked up and all this is happening, she said crying even louder.
I was unsure why she was so emotional because she never really cried this way before even when we got whoppings she would hold her tears in and wouldn't even make a sound.
Lani, what you mean you fucked up this ain't your fault. Mama did this to her-....
I got pregnant kas, she cut me off. I fucked up and now I'm pregnant.   I'm beyond shocked at this point ..... Now this shit 😖

BY WHO!!  Trey said loud almost making me jump out my skin. His tone was deep and demanding. He saw Lani as his little sister closer then blood. So just as I he was ready to go to war about her  as well as juju and Juelz.  Juju stop crying immediately and looked at Lani crazy as hell. And julez was standing on the wall with the meanest mug.   I'm bout to fuck a nigga up , Juelz said lowly . Lani how long you knew, juju asked softly while I'm still in shock I haven't even got no dick yet and my lil sister out here getting fucked down God be with me
I just found out yesterday she said lowly obviously ashamed.  
Look Lani ain't mean to tell at Cha , and dont be ashamed either cause it ain't shit to be down on ya self bout. Trey said walking over to her. Soon as he hugged her she bursted into tears. 
See now you messing up my polo with tears you know you ugly when you cry. Trey said and she giggled and pushed him off her.
Boy shut yo ass up, you ugly to predetor face ass juju said making everybody laugh but me. It's going to be ok Lani we all got each other I'ma still beat who ever the nigga is df up but we got you. Juelz said and everyone laughed again except me.
Kas, say something  Lani said to me and everyone looked at me.  Damn you out here getting dick and I ain't even getting none. I said so serious but everyone laughed
We can change that right now trey said aloud on accident. We have yet told the group we were talking nawl fuck it we go together that's all me. So everyone kind of looked between us.
Oh so we got secrets huh juju said pushing me playfully. I just smiled.
Shut up no I was gone tell you but you was going through your stuff ain't want to seem selfish babe u know I was gone tell you even though it's still fresh. I said cutting my eyes at trey who was giggling.
Juelz was standing on the wall still scrolling through his phone. He didn't say anything though and Lani was just smiling  like she knew some she wasn't suppose to know.
Anyways I'ma go lay down I'm tired all this damn weak ass crying . Lani said walking up the stairs. 
We bout to dip to Juelz said and walked out the door without a goodbye.
Somebody jealous , juju said standing up
But yeah I'ma go bitch but call me in the morning I'm not going to school since grandma funeral tommorow. Juju said hugging me
Ok we'll be at your house around 8 then and ride with y'all there. I said
And she nodded walking out the door.
Baby Mama's!!! Trey said walking up in front of me.  I was still thinking about why Juelz would be jealous for. We never had anything going on nor flirted. If anything every one knew trey liked me cause he showed it every damn day.
I wonder why Juelz was acting like that i said .
I don't know he never told me nothing about liking you , but I don't really care cause you all me now. He said grabbing on my waist and and kissing my neck. I could feel the heat growing between my legs. It seems like since we started this thing we got I've been more and more eager to do it. But he said we can take our time. I don't know how much longer I can wait though.
