We were all in the games room, like always, eating pizza and arguing, like always. Forge was in a heated debate with Delta about the best weapons to use against vampri demons. While Skye and Angel were desperately trying to explain the rules of a video game to Huntress. It wasn't going well. Isle and Beauty lounged on the sofas chatting aimlessly about anything and everything, while revenge sat in the corner surrounded by a mountain of pizza boxes, he's not really that sociable.
I, on the other hand, sat and watched. That's when i heard the echoing footsteps of Chaos in the distance.
I have a new mission, but your not gonna like it. He said telepathically.
As soon as he finished he bursted through the door, making everyone jump, and made a beeline for a pizza box.
He turned round, pizza in hand and said, "i have a new mission but your not gonna like."
At this all arguments, conversations and video game lessons stopped, all expectant faces on Chaos. He looked nervous and scared. If something scared Chaos then we should be very worried.
"Youhavetogobacktoearth," he mumbled.
We all gave hime confused expressions and with a sigh he quickly repeated, "you have to go back to earth, I'm sorry, i know how much pain is there from your mortal life but they desperately need your help. The Gods are powerful but there are somethings even they cannot defeat."
Stunned silence. Some looked excited, though she tried, Angel couldn't hide it. Then there was Revenge, a scowl plastered on his face. Delta had gone pale probably with the same expression as me.
"Your going to earth and that's final. No dicussions. No arguments. You leave tomorrow, get some rest and pack the usual, food clothes, weapons you know the drill by now."
Sometimes Chaos sounds like that bossy dad you never wanted.
"What's wrong exactly, why do they need us," asked Angel, a little eagerly.
"Well thats tricky, your not gonna be happy," he met this comment with hard stares from everyone, so he continued, "the primordials weren't exactly happy at their sisters death, when the demigods killed Gaea one primordial got especially angry and vowed to get revenge on those. Tarturus is rising."
A gasp rippled through the room. Stunned silence, yet again. If Tarturus was rising the erth was in big trouble. Maybe they did need us after all.
We all departed with mumbles of packing and preparation for our new mission. But i knew my team better. No doubt Delta, Revenge, Huntress and Skye were in the training room, it's where they all go when their pissed. Forge is probably in the, well, forge, with Beauty at his side, they're kinda s thing. Isle will be in the infirmary trying to help as many people as possible and Angel will be packing. She's been wanting to go back to earth for years nlw to finally say a real goodbye to her brother.
I quickly teleported to my room, it was lined with chaotic silver, a substance so strong it's practically indestructible and when infused with powder Chaos platinium, it dulls my powers. Which is really good as i destroy stuff when I'm pissed.
My indestructible room is basically my safe haven. It's decorated my way, books line one wall and even more are stacked in different corners of the room, as you can see i like reading, it calms me. Speakers blare continuous rock music, but my room sound proof as well as tough, various different games consoles are plugged in to a single tv that hangs on the wall. The walls are pitch black with swirls of sea green and blue, on the main wall hangs an assortment of weapons from tridents to swords to daggers and bows. As you can probably tell by now i'm not really a heels and dresses kind of girl.
I packed a bag and prepared for one of the worst missions of my life, and i've trekked across the planes of fire on Galictalia, this was gonna be alot worst. Earth is the place of my nightmares, the place of my torment and pain, the place that betrayed me most.
*sneaky little timelapse*
I stand before the portal to my nightmares along with my friends and Chaos. The portal protrudes from the reflexive silver floor, made of obsidian and swirling with many constellations, like Chaos eyes.
A grim expression was written all over everyone's faces, even Chaos.
"Ready", he asked, slightly hesitantly they nodded.
One by one my friends disappeared into the blackness, Chaos came last. The portal cracked and sunk to the depths, into only Gods knows where.
I'm gonna tell you a little secret, everyone of us looked back at the home we had made for ourselves away from our past. But now we were returning to a place of many nightmares and much betrayal.
