Five Kinds of Silence - Scene Three
Billy: Wet Sheets, steam, cold slapping against my face. I'm hiding. Suddenly someone's here. Big white arms. Big bony hands that do things I don't like. Punch me. Other stuff. What? What other stuff? She's big, huge. Veins in her white legs, like blue knotted ropes. Rotten cheese. Ugly, I hate looking at them. Muscles at the back of the knees, bulging, yellow skin on the heels. Clatter of what? Clogs on a hard floor. Noise that split my head in two, her matally taste in my mouth. Crack goes the bone of my head. Stars Flow. I'm laughing, ha ha, but me again if you want, I won't cry. I never cry. Crack, I slip in the wet. Crack goes another bone, elbow maybe. The side of my head burns. Out of my mouth comes a house like kittens make when you drown them. But no, I'm laughing that's what I'm doing, I don't care if you cut off my arms and legs, if you hit me with the belt until my skin peels off I won't cry. I'll just laugh, right. But when I get bigger I'll bloody kill you. (Crossfade to the women with a police officer. Dead Billy walks over to them.)
